A weekend recap...

On Saturday, I scrapbooked a little, getting this layout done for the March DT challenge at MSS: You. I was at a bit of a loss as to what topic to cover about myself. I have done quite a bit of layouts in my BOM, and I wanted something fairly original. I found the perfect topic when I stopped by One Little Word and saw their word for this week: real.

So, with this as my inspiration, as well as the CMK Friday Formula, I created this layout:

I wanted to scrapbook on Saturday, but I got caught up in Camy Tang's Sushi Series, book 3, so I spent a good part of the afternoon reading. Because it was gorgeous outside (yes, really!!), I took the boys for a long walk in the afternoon. I felt the sun on my face and it felt warm! I haven't felt that in such a long, long time...

Saturday evening, Cameron was doing the sound for a wedding reception, so the kids watched some movies that we picked up on our walk and I finished reading my novel.

On Sunday, we went to church and R.O.X., which went well. Our church is starting to display more artistic creations lately, which is cool. The worship team also sang a few new songs, which I found inspiring, especially in thinking about the canvases I want to create.

After lunch, I made this:

In the evening, Austin performed Amazing Grace in the Morden Festival of the Arts for their sacred evening. He did very well!

How was your weekend?

The weekends just fly by so quickly, don't they? Sounds like you had a very nice one. So glad you had some sunshine. We've had 4 days of solid rain and I haven't seen the sun once in all that time. It's so gloomy and depressing.......and cold! Yuck.
Love your "real" layout. You did an awesome job with the weekly formula, and I love your journaling.

Hi Leigh!

Wow. Has it really been this long since I visited?? So many awesome things to look at. I LOVED your canvas and all the wonderful layouts and cards inbetween. I now have all kinds of amazing songs going through my head from those verses. So inspiring. I just love your style.

Thank you so much for the beautiful card and goodies. Such a fun surprise.

Have a fantastic day my friend!

Hugs,
Julie
