Seasons Givings Blog Hop 2015

Welcome to the Seasons Givings Blog Hop!

I'm participating in this blog hop today because of you, my blog readers.
I truly appreciate each one of you.... that you take the time to come & visit my blog
& comment on my projects... it means so much to me!
And so, this blog hop is being held for you, as a way for me to say "thank you".

For those of you who are new to my blog, I welcome you to check it out.
I've recently celebrated my blog's 10 year anniversary &
posted my favourite cards (click!) & layouts (click!) that I made in 2015,
which you can see by scrolling down or clicking the links.

Each stop on the hop is hosting a giveaway.
So make sure you comment on each one to be eligible to win each prize.

Here is the prize pack that I'm giving away...

It consists of four stamp sets (from Studio Calico, Simon Says Stamp (2) & Sweet Stamp Shoppe), dies to coordinate with one of the SSS stamp sets,  some Studio Calico labels, some Pretty Pink Posh
sequins, a Heidi Swapp acrylic word and some Reverse Confetti Quick Cut Panels.

To be eligible to win this prize pack, you need to leave a comment here
on my blog by Sunday, January 3rd, 2016, at 9pm CST.
I will announce the winner on Monday, the 4th.

And here's the card I wanted to share with you....
a thank you to all of my wonderful readers!

I stamped the border along the side by repeatedly stamping the hat pattern from
MFT Stamp's Winter Warmth stamp set.
I then stamped the holly leaves and the poinsettias onto their coordinating diecuts
(also from Winter Warmth).

I stamped the accents in Delicata Golden Glitz for a little sparkle
and the sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp's Big Scripty Sentiments)
in Versafine onyx black.

Before you go, feel free to follow my blog & click on the link to do so on the sidebar.

Next on the hop is Christina Griffiths.

10th Anniversary Blog Celebration -- Giveaways

Welcome to the 10 year anniversary of my blog!
It was on this day, in 2005, that I first started blogging. :)

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who left a comment
here on my blog over the past few days!
They were all so sweet!
The support that I've found in the online crafting community is overwhelming --
I feel very encouraged and blessed!

I started off by flicking a mixture of white acrylic paint and water onto a kraft background.
I wet some watercolour paint and coloured on it with some Zig Clean Colour Waterbrush markers.
Once this was dry, I diecut them using Leafy Confetti Cuts.
I arranged these in a laurel/wreath pattern on my card.

I diecut another piece of watercolour paper using the banner from Tag Me Confetti Cuts
and then stamped the sentiment from Forever Fall.

And now, onto the giveaways...

I have four prizes to give-away:

1. a $25 gift certificate to Reverse Confetti (generously donated by Jen Del Muro)
2. a $25 gift certificate to Pretty Pink Posh (generously donated by Paulina Nakamura)
3. a $20 gift certificate to Butterfly Reflections Ink (generously donated by Vanessa Middleton)
4. a $25 gift certificate from me to Papertrey Ink

There were 174 comments left on my blog during the three days of the celebration
(have I mentioned already how overwhelmed I feel?)

Sage was in bed, but I went in and asked her to choose four numbers between 1 & 174.
Here are the numbers she chose.... 15, 49, 86, 150.

So, the winner of the $25 gift certificate to Reverse Confetti
(generously donated by Jen Del Muro) is...

The winner of the $25 gift certificate to Pretty Pink Posh
(generously donated by Paulina Nakamura) is...

The winner of the $20 gift certificate to Butterfly Reflections Ink
(generously donated by Vanessa Middleton) is...

And the winner of the $25 gift certificate from me to Papertrey Ink is...

 Congratulations to the winners!
Please send me an email to pennercl@mymts.net to claim your prize.

So, that's it!
Thanks again to everyone who left me comments and just made me feel so special!

And, just to let you know that tomorrow, I'll be participating in the
Season's Givings Blog Hop with some more prizes to give away
and I'd love to have you come back & visit!

Thanks for looking!

10th Anniversary Blog Celebration -- Day 3

Welcome to the 10 year anniversary of my blog!

(Note: the anniversary celebration started on Sunday, so scroll down or click here & here
to leave a comment to be entered to win one of my fabulous giveaways!)

As I mentioned yesterday & on Sunday, I started my blog almost ten years ago, on Dec. 30, 2005.
What began as a place to share photos and thoughts has become such a big
part of my life, seeing as I post almost daily.

Here's one of the first photos I posted on my blog:

It's of Sage on New Year's Eve 2005.
Every year, our church goes skating on New Year's Eve.
How can this have been 10 years ago? Crazy!

So, to celebrate TO THE FULL's 10 year anniversary,
I've been doing a series of posts over the past three days.

Now, while I was mainly a scrapbooker when I started my blog,
I can't deny that the frequency of my posts greatly increased when
I started stamping and making cards.

So, today, I'm sharing my 10 favourite stamp sets and some cards where I've used them:

#1. Reverse Confetti's Lots to Say:

This one of my first Reverse Confetti stamp and it is such a perfect sentiment set!
I use it all of the time!

#2. Altenew's Painted Flowers:

This set is so sweet and fun to play with!
I often use the stamps and layer the flowers, but I've also enjoyed watercolouring them!

On my next card, I've combined two sets...
#3. Mama Elephant's Three Amigos

This sweet set is so fun!
I've surprised myself at how often I reach for this set.

#4. Papertrey Ink's City Scene

Although I originally bought this set because of the Eiffel Tower,
but that is one stamp in the set that I haven't used that much.
I really like making skylines and cities with this set.

On my next card, I've combined two sets...
#5. Papertrey Ink's Twig Wreath

This set is so pretty and makes such lovely cards, with or without the wreath.

#6. Papertrey Ink's Choose Joy

This sweet sentiment set makes me happy every time I use it!

I used #5 & #6 to make this card:

#7. Papertrey Ink's Songbirds

My favourite stamp from this set is the leaves.
They are so fun to use -- either with the coordinating dies or without.
For this card, I coloured the stamp with Zig Clear Brush Markers and spritzed
it with water before stamping it onto my card.

#7. Papertrey Ink's Guiding Lights

A wonderful set for making masculine cards or faith-based cards.
And the layering is so fun!

#9. Wplus9's Fresh Cut Florals

This sweet set is so fun to play with -- I love making little bouquets with it!

#10. Reverse Confetti's God is Good

Walk By Faith is also wonderful!
