Five for Friday

1.Well, this week has been a fabulous kick off to my summer!

It's actually my first summer that I've worked since, well,
I think the summer Cameron and I got married -- 21 years ago!

I had the day off on Monday for Canada Day.
We went strawberry picking in the morning:

And then Jonah, Sage and I biked to the beach in the afternoon:

2. I've made some goals for the summer -- which include some "eating better" goals
(no sugar or deep-fried foods), as well as some exercise goals (to exercise daily,
which has included going for bike rides every morning, biking to work (when possible)
and biking in the evening.
We've been riding our bikes to the beach and back --considering it's mostly uphill on the way
there, it's a pretty good workout!

3. On Wednesday, I took most of the day off and we went to Winnipeg
to spend the afternoon at Fun Mountain Waterslide Park, which was so fun!

I decided I wanted to spend more time enjoying the day and less time
taking photos, so we got this selfie before storing my phone and our belongings
in a locker for safe keeping.

Then, we took my mom out to celebrate her birthday (belatedly).

4. I've added a couple more kitchens that I designed to my Houzz page.

The first one is my first solo kitchen Modern Farmhouse Style:

It was so exciting to go and see the finished kitchens --
I'm thrilled with how they both turned out, as are my clients!

5. Lastly, I have another card to share that I made using the current

and CAS(E) This Sketch #229 designed by Hannelie Bester:

Here's my card:

I used the same technique as yesterday's card,
except I used PTI Linen paper and their Summer Sweetness stamp set.

Remember, there's still time to play along with this
Thanks for looking!

Your kitchen designs are awesome, what a fun job that must be, but can see if being stressful as well, at times :). Redoing our kitchen is on my dream list, going to keep your inspiration in mind if the day ever comes! And lastly, love your bright cheery card. Have a great weekend.

  7. We went strawberry picking last week with my 6 and 3 year old. I think my 3 year old ate more than I actually imagined. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we ended up making ice cream too. So glad you are enjoying the job. The kitchens are fabulous. I'm rather fond of the modern farmhouse. And last but not least, a perfect card for the summer. xx
