It's a tradition at our church that the preschoolers come into the church service waving palm branches on Palm Sunday morning. Sage has been looking forward to this for weeks!
Then they go on stage and sing. Sage has been singing the songs for me at home. I love how happy she is on stage. Here, they're singing about Jesus riding on a donkey. :)
That was pretty much the highlight of our weekend (well, Sage and mine, anyway!)
Although, it's a bit of a toss up, because I have been scrapbooking, too. I've spent a good part of the weekend doubling up on challenges for the MSS and CMK online crops.
Here's what I've made so far:
This one is for the challenge that I issued to use fabric on your layout (I used a leftover piece of fabric from the dress I made Sage. I also made the rosette out of ribbon and a button to match the ones I put on the waist of her dress.)
This layout was for Tina's colour challenge at CMK (to use spring colours). Liz at MSS posted a similar challenge, as well as a challenge to use up old stash items. The smaller chipboard letters are Heidi Swapp ones in light blue and orange that I painted all light periwinkle to match the layout.
And this layout was for my challenge at MSS to use a movie or tv show title as your title. Shannon at MSS issued a challenge to use the negative of something, so I used the We R Memory Keepers patterned paper that was left over from cutting out the big flower to frame my journaling. Sherry at CMK challenged us to stamp with bleach on our page, which I decided to brave (once I was wearing some old jammies that I didn't care about bleach staining, of course!)
Hope you're enjoying your weekend.
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up in Croatia we didn't have palms for Palm Sunday...we didn't even call it that...We call it Flower Sunday and we brought flowers to the church, yellow Forsythia branches.
ReplyDeleteLove your layouts especially the one with the fabric from Sage's dress.
Oooh, your pages are so beautiful, Leigh. I love your style. That last one, "the office", really just made me laugh, and I adore the block-style design to it. Completely love your fabric page, too.
