A card for a sweet friend

I wanted to share a card that I made for my good friend, Val. I realized last night that she and I have been friends now for fifteen years! Definitely something to celebrate!

I used this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: Layered Mats and Frames.

This card is 5.5" square, because I made a pocket on the inside in which I slipped a CD. I used PTI cardstock (raspberry fizz, aqua mist, hibiscus burst), stamps (signature cupcake), button, twine & dies (tiny tags, mat stack #5, limitless layers, edger #3 & bloom builder #3). The patterned paper is SU! (text) & Basic Grey (bloom).

Thanks for looking!

  1. How nice to have had a friend for so long. I'm sure that she will love this card. The colors are so cheery. I am still trying to get through that MIM video. Perhaps later today!
