When I was organizing my scraps a few weeks ago, I came across this scrap of The Girl's Paperie patterned paper, with part map and pinked edge. I decided to use it to make a card, in which I also used this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: computer generated sentiments on diecuts.
I used PTI cardstock (rustic white, spring moss, sweet blush), stamps (happy trails), buttons & dies (layerz mat stack #5, double-ended banner die). The bicycle stamp is Hero Arts, the patterned paper is The Girl's Paperie and the "follow your dreams" sentiment was printed on my computer.
Thanks for looking!
This is great, Leigh! I think that's what I'll try and do - go through my scraps once in awhile and make cards out of them. Keeps the scraps at bay and saves money right? Lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for your scraps, and the image matches the paper perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card...Love the different texts together.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you pulled all of those different elements together.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card Leigh!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful take on the challenge, I love that pp!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like that little bicycle and the way you stamped one of the sentiments in the background. So sweet!
ReplyDeletegorgeous leigh!
ReplyDeleteWonderful execution! How do you think of adding those buttons for just the right touch? I wish I could be thorough and effective like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I have that bicycle stamp. I must go dig it out after being so inspired by your crafty handiwork. I too have a bigger than Ben Hur scrap bucket come box and I am always so chuffed when I can get a bit of crafty use out of it. Shame to see such good DP collecting space and dust. LOL That sewn pinked edge is darling. But the two wee buttons at the bottom nestled together are my fave. Awesome card!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! Love the bike stamp, I have this one too. Love the map paper with it, nice use of scraps.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card! Love the patterns and colors you choose and of course - your stitching!!
ReplyDeleteYour attention to detail is fabulous, Leigh, and great use of your scraps. The banner sentiment with the two buttons below it is perfect and adds the finishing touch. Love this!
