Well, at the beginning of the week, I challenged myself to create a card and a layout with each of the sketches that Nichole shared on her blog for this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink. So, here's the last one.... for Sketch #1.
Here's the card that I made:
I used Papertrey Ink cardstock (rustic cream, sweet blush, spring moss), stamps (botanical silhouettes, turning a new leaf) and dies (tag sale #5, double-ended banner). The flowers were cut from a sheet of Crate Paper patterned paper, and were raised with some dimensional adhesive.
And for my layout, I decided to create a large banner beneath my photo.
I used Papertrey Ink cardstock (sweet blush), stamps (strawberry patch sentiments) and dies (double-ended banner). The flowers on the right and left hand sides were cut from a sheet of Crate Paper patterned paper, and were raised with some dimensional adhesive. The large bunch of flowers in the middle, as well as the butterflies, are Crate chipboard shapes. The patterned paper is all Crate, as well.
Thanks for looking!
Love these! I really like how you used the striped impression plate.
ReplyDeleteBoth are just lovely, Leigh! I love the LO. I've been trying Project Life and it's just not working for me. I miss doing the traditional LO's too much. I love your CAS LO style...I just got an order of pics so I am going to go back to doing them that way again. I bought one of the core kits and if I wanted a prettier photo album it would be great, but I like all the pretties you can add with the more traditonal page. Anyway...thanks for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGreat card and layout Leigh. The colours you used and the photo of Sage are so sweet! - Irma

ReplyDeleteLeigh - I love your card and the layout is just so special. A very lovely picture of your daughter. I have not been doing any pages since Stuart got sick and passed but seeing your page makes me realize that I will go back to it when I am ready...it is such a special way to record our memories and each page we make shares the love we have for the person whose picture we choose to highlight. Thanks for sharing your pages...and your wonderful inspiration. So very beautiful!!
