I love January 1st...... new beginnings, new opportunities, fresh starts...
This date also means that it's time for me to post a new challenge for Pages With Papertrey.
I thought with so many people making resolutions to scrapbook more, I'd make this month's challenge an easy one: create a layout using a MIM challenge. You can either choose a MIM from the past year (Nichole posted them all here), or you can use this week's MIM: Chalkboard Technique, like I did on my layout here...
I used Bazzill cardstock (12x12 kraft), Crate Paper patterned paper, chipboard shapes, button and stickers, as well as some American Crafts thickers. I also used Papertrey Ink cardstock (ocean tides), twine & stamps (movers and shakers sentiments, we go together), as well as some Mama Elephant stamps (on target) and Simon Says Stamps (for the record).
Here's a close up of the chalk board technique:
If you create a layout for the PWP challenge, please leave a link to it either here in the comments or here on the PTI forum, so I can come and check it out!
Thanks for looking!

ReplyDeleteLeigh, what a fabulous layout!!! I love it!!! And the challenge is perfect. I am catching up on last year's Valentine mini album (I forgot to finish) and then onto the baby album. Happy 2013!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat layout, the Ocean Tides card stock makes a very realistic 'green' board and looks super with the photographs. All the details really highlight the photos. Looking forward to more projects in 2013!!!

LOVE this layout, LOVE the title (especially with the lowercase for little and uppercase for big...little details like that just make me smile, and the chalkboard art is icing on the cake. You are incredible!
ReplyDeleteP.S. LOVE how you combined the sentiments! If I wasn't familiar with the sets, I would have never known.
