Bokeh inspired stamping

I was totally inspired by  Betsy Veldman's blog post on Bokeh inspired stamping, that I felt I had to give it a try for myself. I loved how she used the camera from Shutterfly Special and decided to CASE her card.

I used the Colour Crush Challenge on the Pink Paislee Blog, as well as  this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: Collage Elements.

Now, I have to say that when I CASE someone, I tend to just go by memory, so it does turn out a little differently than the original. For my Pink Paislee product, I used a piece of their patterned paper from their Portfolio line as my mat. I inked the edges of my stamper's select white cardstock with Hawaiian Shores ink and my blending tool. I stamped the camera from PTI's Shutterfly Special in Versafine. Then I took one of my stamps from Embroidered Blooms, flipped it over and used the backside of it to stamp my circles, using the Colour Crush Palette (Hibiscus Burst, Sweet Blush, Winter Wisteria, Hawaiian Shores and Summer Sunrise). I added the sentiment three times (in Winter Wisteria, Hawaiian Shores & Versafine.)

I'm also linking this card up for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: Anything Goes.

Then, I thought that this might be a cool technique to incorporate into a layout, so I found a photo of Sage to scrapbook.

Once again, I inked the edges of white cardstock (American Crafts -- the back side) with Hawaiian Shores ink and my blending tool. I stamped the camera from PTI's Shutterfly Special in Versafine on the coordinating diecut. I matted Sage's photo on white and layered it over some Pink Paislee patterned paper and diecut another strip with the PTI Heart Border die. I stamped my title using PTI's Wonderful Words Additions and added some Pink Paislee chipboard letters for "laugh". I stamped the "LOL! & "ha!ha!" using CTMH stamps. I used the same stamp from Embroidered Blooms to stamp my circles, again using the Colour Crush Palette (Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, Winter Wisteria, Hawaiian Shores and Lemon Tart).

For the Make It Monday challenge, I added a sentiment using a Teresa Collins stamp that is just perfect for Sage, stamped in Sweet Blush. I inked three Pink Paislee chipboard stars (in Winter Wisteria, Hawaiian Shores and Lemon Tart) and added them to my layout as well.

And I stamped the same sentiment again in Versafine on the pull out part of the camera.

Thanks for looking!
