Independence Day

I know, I'm a day late. And most likely, a dollar short, too. ;)

However, I'm right on time to be making my first blog post as a Fresh Squeezed Stamps Design Team member!

I had a lot of fun making this Independence Day card (I know, a bit of a stretch for this Canuck, but fun nonetheless!) I used Subway Series: Summer.

I ran some vellum through my diecutting machine with my woodgrain impression plate and stitched it to my cardstock background. Then, I stamped the sentiment three times on some grey patterned paper: first in Versamark, which I heat embossed with white embossing powder, then in red and then in a dark blue. I impressed it, too and then added it to my card using dimensional adhesive.

Here's a close-up of the woodgrain texture-- so fun using this with the vellum!

I'm linking this card up to this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Patriotic.

Thanks for looking!
