I was so excited to win a spot at the Summer Card Camp 2 class! This is my first time participating in an Online Card Class and I'm really enjoying it so far.
It's a three week class. For Week 1, they've posted a colour combo and three sketches we can use.
For my card, I used the second sketch, along with the colour combo, which I interpreted as Hawaiian Shores, Harvest Gold, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy & white.
Here's my card:
I incorporated several of the techniques shared into my card:
1. I impressed my vellum background using my PTI Simple Stripes impression plate.
2. I did a some multi-ink stamping on one of my tags using my PTI Big Ticket Basics stamp set.
3. I made a dimensional diecut with my PTI Seeing Stars die (I diecut several stars from cardstock and adhered them together, adding a final layer diecut from some Echo Park patterned paper.)
Here's a close-up of the star, where you can see some of the dimension:
Jonah's invited to a birthday party on Sunday and the birthday boy is turning nine.
I decided to embellish an envelope for the card, for this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink, using the same supplies.
Thanks for looking!
Love it, Leigh. I've got to get started on this class and I can't wait to try the impressed vellum - such a neat look.

ReplyDeleteLeigh, I was just thinking about how I need to use this tag stamp set and I am just loving how you stacked them - great inspiration here! What an awesome take on the sketch, and good idea combining it with MIM!
