I have a card to share today that I made for the Summer Card Camp 2 online class that I'm taking. Today's challenge was to create a card in less than 10 minutes.
Well, I have to say that my first attempt was a fail. I tried to diecut some white letters & then diecut part of them like Jennifer Rzasa did, but it didn't work. You could totally see the ridges left by the dies on the letters. So I stopped my time and started over.
This time, I decided to use a PTI Wonderful Word diecut and make it dimensional, like how Jennifer McGuire taught us to on Day 1. I stamped the coordinating sentiment on a double-ended banner die cut from PTI. Then I stamped some WPlus9 Fresh Cut Flowers on my card and on some die cuts, only to realize that I got some ink on my fingertips and smudged them onto the left hand side of my card. Grrr! So I trimmed off the left hand side and then adhered my panel to some aqua mist card stock.
And my time....
Thanks for looking!
Beautiful and elegant, I love it! C x
ReplyDeleteWhew! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteWow!! You did this in under 10 minutes? Yours was way more complicated then mine and I failed. LOVE the flowers and your whole design. You rocked this!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I wanted to try Jennifer Rzasa's technique too. However, I knew I couldn't do that in a 10 minute challenge!!! This was one of the hardest things I had to do.
Wow, great card and nice save :)
ReplyDeleteThat aqua mist cardstock looks really pretty. I never would've known that it wasn't your first choice. In fact, I love that color scheme. Looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI admire you for doing that in under ten minutes. I can't do that. As soon as I get the timer set I get all stressed out trying to hurry. And I'm trying to relieve stress, not add to it! :) So I'm in awe.
Gorgeous product/stamp choices!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteNice recovery on the ink smudge! Love the card and so happy you made it in less than 10 minutes.
