It's my birthday!

My best friend asked me how I wanted to spend my birthday..... and I told her I wanted to spend the day with her in Winnipeg, doing some shopping and going out for meals. So, that's what we're doing today! :)

Before I head off, though, I just had to share the card that Sage made for me for my birthday. She asked me what stamps I wanted. I picked feathers, so she used my WMS Fine Feathers set.

I'd told her about Jennifer McGuire's tip for backgrounds that I learned at SCC2, so she started stamping in one corner and worked her way across. For her title, she diecut some vellum with the Get a Handle on It die and stamped it with a Movers & Shakers Sentiments sentiment.  Then, she added the stitching. Yes, she did this herself! (Okay, I stood over her to guide her and provide encouragement), but really, she did it! The only thing I helped her with was  trimming down her stamped panel and heating her stamped sentiment, so it wouldn't smear.

I'm linking Sage's card up to the Simon Says Stamp Kids' Summer Vacation Challenge.

Thanks for looking!
