The first card is for the Trendy Triangles Challenge at Moxie Fab World. I just got this great sheet of patterned paper by Echo Park and thought it would be perfect for this challenge.
I layered some of the patterned paper over some Raspberry Fizz card stock. I then fussy cut the large flower from the reverse side of the patterned paper and adhered it to my card. I added a diecut banner, a stamped sentiment from Boutique Borders: Birthday and some buttons and twine.

Here's my card, using my new Wplus9 sets:
I layered some Fancy Pants patterned paper over some PTI Rustic Cream cardstock. I stamped the banner and sentiment on a piece of Spring Rain cardstock that I diecut with my Basic Banner die. I diecut the feathers from Rustic Cream cardstock. I stamped on them with Versamark and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I added a gold button (it was yellow to start, but I dipped it in Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder!) and some twine.

ReplyDeleteThe bright colourful buttons are a great accent to the sentiment banner and paper on your first card. Love the graphic lines of the second ... and those feathers are so sweet. I didn't think I wanted a feather stamp, but this one is very whimsical.

Leigh, I LOVE that top card...that big flower has such a trendy look, especially with the banner and embellishments layered on top!!! Hey, the paper you asked about is just from Hobby Lobby...probably Paper Studio, and it's pretty thin. (I put it on chipboard for that frame.) But I do love it,...whenever I go and it's on sale, I grab a few sheets...it's great for a light neutral background without being too plain...the little Kraft colored streaks make it look a little like fabric or canvas and give a little interest without adding a distracting pattern. Glad you liked the card! Thanks a bunch!!!
