I found a photo of these tags that I meant to share a while ago...
I decided that even though Austin is in high school now,
his teachers deserve to know how much I appreciate them.
So, I made them some butter crunch and brought it along to our parent-teacher conferences.
Most of them seemed to appreciate them..... I don't think they get very many treats!
I was totally inspired by the tags that Laura Bassen made here
and I had to copy her idea.
For my tags, I used my Simon Says Stamp thanks die,
along with some My Mind's Eye patterned paper.
The tags are Papertrey Ink's tag sale #5 die.
Thanks for looking!
Oh I would love to receive this treat! Your tags are fabulous Leigh!
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteFYI - I tried your link to Laura Bassen's tags - and it just went to wordpresss.com.
thanks for sharing! i love your work!
Love your tags Leigh - they really dress up your bags of sweet treats!
ReplyDeleteCool tags! Yummy treats!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Treat tags!!! Look so yummy Leigh :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I taught high school I didn't get many treats, but when I did I really appreciated them! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWow Leigh, what a wonderful gift for the parent-teacher conferences. I am sure it was a huge surprise.

Yum! and, cool tags. I made English Toffee for my daughter's high school teachers, and I know they appreciated it. I think you are right that the HS teachers don't get showered with as much love.
ReplyDeleteThese tags are fabulous, Leigh.
ReplyDeleteLove these tags, Leigh! And those treats look delicious! I'm sure those teachers were touched.
ReplyDeleteThat 'thanks' looks sweet on the diagonal, Leigh! Colors look great, too! Now, could you stop it with the butter crunch inspiration?!?;) (That was so thoughtful!)
ReplyDeleteLovely tags, Leigh! Wish I was one of his teachers--LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love the detail on your tags!!! And you're right we have a tendency to forget to treat our kids' teachers once they leave elementary school!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment on my blog recently!
Fabulous tags and I love the colors you've picked!
ReplyDeleteThanks Leigh!
Looks yummy! The tags are great. Love the "thanks" die.- Irma
ReplyDeleteEvery time you post pictures of your butter crunch I ask myself why I haven't made it yet. :) It looks delicious. The tags are awesome and I think you did a great job making them look more masculine and mature (for Austin's sake), but something any teacher male or female would love. Having worked in Jr High and High School a bit I would have LOVED if a parent had brought a treat...especially this one. So thoughtful of you, Leigh.
ReplyDeleteCute treat tags!
ReplyDeleteBusy week, so I'm behind in commenting *hanging head* but here I am, applauding these wonderful treat bags! I need to try this recipe! As a former teacher, I know how much your son's teachers will LOVE these! Yummy, thoughtful and heart-warming!
