Well, if I thought that June would be a slower month,
I was definitely wrong! LOL!
1. Last week, I got to go along with Sage's French Immersion field trip to the
Children's Museum in Winnipeg, which was fun.
2. On Saturday, the kids & I went to Winnipeg (again!) to volunteer at the
Iron First Taekwondo Championships. Jonah & Sage were runners (meaning they escort the winners
to the podium), Austin got to do some administration work, as well as corner judge for sparring.
I conducted for the patterns (meaning I called people to their spots and told them when to begin,
when the judges vote, declare the winners, etc.) & was a centre ref/corner judge for sparring.
3. On Sunday, the Winkler Bible Camp had their annual Family Fun Day,
which was a blast! Perfect weather and lots of fun with my family --
it doesn't get much better than that!
And check out who's zip lining on the photo in the bottom left hand corner....
yep, that's me! :)
4. This spring, I decided that my bedroom needed a make-over. (Click to see the before)
I painted the walls aqua mist (Serendipity) using some of the left over paint from
I bought the white duvet & curtains at IKEA ($60 total!).
I was going to make a quilt for my bed, but I found this one at the mall for $35, which was
way cheaper than it would have cost me to make my own.
The kids gave me this Eifel Tower for Mother's Day -- I love it!
The quilt I bought came with two shams, which I took apart (they had too much stripes on them)
and made the throw pillow.
I also made the two square pillows with some fabric I found at Walmart.
Above my bed, I filled these IKEA frames with some stamped images of
Papertrey Ink's Feather Finery that I heat embossed on melon berry card stock.
5. Tomorrow should be a busy day, as we're having a garage sale.
Hopefully the weather cooperates & we have a good day.
(If you're local, feel free to stop by between 9 & 4.)
Oh, & before I go, I just wanted to share these two peeks from Chickaniddy Crafts --
these are their two new lines for fall & Christmas.
Aren't they fabulous?
Thanks for looking!
