And today, I'll go for my staggered entrance meeting with Jonah's teacher.
Austin is on the student council this year, so he's helping out today
with the Grade 9's orientation and tomorrow, he'll start Grade 10.
And tomorrow, I'll go for my staggered entrance meeting with Sage's teacher.
And she & Jonah will go full time on Thursday.
I have such a hard time not being sad about summer ending --
2014 was really a great summer!
But I am excited about this coming school year
and the activities we have planned for the fall....
So, in honour of our big day,
I have a Reverse Confetti card that would be perfect for a teacher --
either now at the start of the year, or just to pass on a little encouragement
during the year -- I'm pretty sure any teacher would appreciate that. ;)
I used some Heidi Swapp patterned paper.
On the vintage cream card stock, I ran the apple die from Class Act Confetti Cuts
partially through my diecutting machine three times and
stamped it with the coordinating Class Act stamp.
I die cut the smaller heart from Love Note and stamped it with the apple stamp
and layered them over the apples.
The leaves were die cut with the Class Act Confetti Cuts from
the Heidi Swapp patterned paper and the sentiment is from Class Act, too.
I'm also linking this card up to this week's
Thanks for looking!
I hope that they all have a great first day Leigh. Love the touch of pink on your card...softens up the apples. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis is SO sweet, Leigh, and so perfect for an anytime teacher thank you! I really love how you used the apple die here. Very clever die cutting trick. And layering with the hearts was such a great idea. Love all the happy polka dots, too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your first week back. I feel the same as you....so sad to see summer end, but looking forward to a great year!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition!! And cute card too!
ReplyDeleteYes, adorable kids and the most adorable card. I just love how you die cut the apples at edge and used all the polka dots! A+ for you, Leigh!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea having a celebratory dinner the night before!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your sweet apple card!
Fabulous card, and a fun idea for a dinner. My girls were moping around the night before school started...but they have actually enjoyed the first few days.
ReplyDeleteYour 'Back to School' feast sounds like a fabulous idea, gauging by the shining smiles on your children's faces. You certainly make clear that bright spots appear in heading back, especially with that yummy cake (I'm guessing carrot cake...my fav). As a teacher, I can 10000% guarantee that this card will be greatly appreciated; thoughtful and stunning!
