Well, it's the eighth of the month, which means it's time for the Reverse Confetti blog hop!
And with the holidays approaching, this month's theme is all about the packaging...
The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog,
and you should have made it here from Amy Sheffer's blog.
It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing.
We have tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti's amazing stamp sets for packaging!
Now, when it comes to packaging, I'm very happy to let the store gift wrap my purchases,
but, I am all about the tags!
I love making tags for my gifts and coordinating them with both the recipient and the gift wrap!
This gift & tag is going to my nephew in Montreal.
Here's a close up...
I diecut the largest tag from Tag Me Confetti Cuts twice -- once from white cardstock
and the second time from some Teresa Collins patterned paper.
Then, I stamped Marley Moose onto my white cardstock tag and onto a piece of the patterned paper.
I cut out Marley's head from the patterned paper.
To colour in the rest of him, I pressed some ink onto my craft mat, spritzed it with water
and painted it on (a mix of CTMH cranberry & PTI's Scarlet Jewel for his scarf & mittens
& PTI's soft stone for his sweater.)
And then, I did the same technique using some Delicata Golden Glitz ink for the bow.
(I wasn't sure if this would work because the Delicata is a pigment ink, but it totally did!)
I was so excited about this, I couldn't help but paint in Marley's snout and antlers with the gold ink.
I love how it turned out!
For the sentiment banner, I swiped some of the Delicata Golden Glitz ink across some white
cardstock and diecut it using the banner from Tag Me Confetti Cuts.
I stamped the sentiment using Beautiful Banners.
Then I fussy cut around Marley's mitten and the bow.
I adhered the two tags together and added the banner over top slipping it under Marley's hand.
I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today.
Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of every month for more Reverse Confetti inspiration!
Now it’s time to hop on over to Amber Hight's blog.
