Reverse Confetti May Release Blog Hop

Hey there, 'Fetti Fans!
Welcome to the Reverse Confetti May New Release Blog Hop!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog and
you should have made it here from the incredibly talented Amy Sheffer's blog
It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing.
We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets & dies!

For my blog hop project, I decided to pair two of the new stamp sets:

Now, I think I've mentioned how much I love this sweet little monkey!
And I thought that he would make the cutest baby cards.
Here's my card:

I used some Carta Bella patterned paper as my background and I framed
my sweet monkey with a Crate Paper chipboard frame.
I stamped the sentiment onto my patterned paper using versafine onyx black ink.

I stamped my monkey onto a piece of vellum in the same ink
and heat embossed it in clear.
Then, I coloured my mango gelato onto my acrylic block, spritzed it with water and used
that to paint my monkey, adding more water for the lighter areas.
I used my heat tool to dry it.

I love how the vellum softens the gingham pattern!

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today!
Be sure and join us on the 8th of every month for more Reverse Confetti inspiration!

  3. What a cute little monkey, and so clever of you to stamp him on vellum! (Why do I always assume that monkeys are male? Could it be because I have 4 grandsons?!)

  21. Awwwww! Cute doesn't begin to describe this card. When I look at the picture it looks embossed in black. Is this the reflection from the stamp underneath the clear embossing?
