Well, today, we're taking Sage to camp for the week.
I know I will survive five days without my best girl (as I did last year),
but I will definitely miss her a lot!
I made her some cards that she can read each night & they also include the blessing
that I say to my kids each night before they go to sleep.
On each one, I stamped the little fox from Mama Elephant's Three Amigos stamp set
as well as the "happy camper" from PTI's Summer Camp stamp set.
I used my MISTI to stamp the fox and sentiment in the same spot on each card
and then changed up the "scenery" to highlight different aspects of camp.
Here's Monday's card:
I stamped the trees and tent from Summer Camp.
For all of my cards, I pressed ink onto my acrylic block and
applied it to my card with a paintbrush & water.
Tuesdays card highlights horseback riding.
The fence is a Pretty Pink Posh die and the horse is a PTI On the Farm die.
They have a lake with a beach at camp, so here, on Wednesday's card,
the little fox is hanging out on the beach.
The little jar is from a Studio Calico stamp set.
And Thursday's card includes a night time scene stamped with Summer Camp.
So, now I just need to count down the days until I can go and pick
up my best, best girl.
Four days to go....
I can do this, right?
Thanks for looking!
These are fabulous! Sage will love them, I'm sure. I think the gorgeous simplicity of Wednesday's lake card is my favorite.
ReplyDeletePauvre toi, Leigh. Just think about how much fun Sage will be having and how it's actually a positive experience for her (and you!). Your little love notes to Sage are so sweet.

These are just adorable Leigh. I love how they are all similar yet different.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful card set, and I'm sure will be a treasured keepsake. You will make it until the end of the week--I'm sure. I'll bet Sage is having a fabulous time.
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet. I'm sure she will love them!
ReplyDeleteawww, you are the BEST mom! These are SO sweet, Leigh! I love them to pieces, and I know Sage will, too!
ReplyDeleteHow cute are these cards, Leigh? I'll bet Sage is just thrilled her Mom is such a great card maker. No doubt you do miss her, but time flies by. Soon you'll be bringing her back home!
ReplyDeleteI know that as much as you missed your 'best girl,' she missed her 'best mom.' Your cards are incredibly heart-warming and ultra sweet! I finally invited that set into my collection; too darling to resist when opportunity presented me with a chance to buy them, 'in real life' during our quick trip to Seattle in July (oh, the miles we've traveled this summer!). Placing the little fox into the various camp scenes: tooooo cute!
