Surprisingly, I haven't been able to spend a lot of time in my craft area so far this summer!
But, with the temperatures being way too hot to spend time outside this afternoon,
I managed to sneak down there and make a few cards.
The first one is for this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink:
I decided to use PTI's Lovely Layers stamp set to create my border.
I also stamped the larger image on my American Crafts patterned paper background.
Over that, I stamped my sentiment from Graceful Greetings.
A few enamel dots finish it off.
And, I also have three cards to share for Muse Challenge: #123,
where I was inspired by this adorable card by Joan Bardee:
I love those sweet cherries on that plaid background and decided to use the cherries
from PTI's Scent-imentals stamp set for my card:
I diecut my Echo Park patterned paper using Mama Elephant's Femme Frames scalloped
die & stamped my sentiment using Reverse Confetti's God is Good stamp set.
I loved this card so much, that I decided to make a couple more similar to it,
using the peach and watermelon images from Scent-imentals.
For these two, I used some Heidi Swapp patterned paper as my background.
Thanks for looking!
Fabulous cards! Love your take on the MIM and since I recently bought Lovely Layers, it was safe to look at. Scentimentals though was quite dangerous as it's been on my wishlist since the sneak peek but keeps getting bumped for other things (mostly the Make It Market kits lol).
ReplyDeleteBTW I've been stamping on layouts like crazy lately and it dawned on me that it's because of the challenges you posted on the PTI forum. I gave you a little shout out of recognition on my He Built a Better Mouse Trap layout post : ). I've got decades of layouts to do, so I decided to keep working my way through them albeit backwards lol.
I know the feeling Leigh, I haven't been able to get many cards done either! You sure haven't lost your touch though, these are fabulous!! The cute collection of fruit cards are perfect for summer and your first card is so pretty!!
