All right, Sage & I have been stamping in our basement for the past few hours
(well, Sage stamped for some of that time -- the rest of the time, she's been playing
with her Lego Friends. LOL!)
But, we've created a few cards for a few challenges for PTI's Stamp-a-faire.
The first one is for the Patterns Challenge, the Threads Challenge
& the Mix & Match Challenge.
I used the first pattern from Ashley to make my card:
Her pattern was a little busy for me, so I simplified a little.
I used my Quilted: Summer stamps and dies,
along with a Graceful Greetings die/stamp.
I created a "thread nest" behind my diecuts.
I used some new inks (Wplus9's Hayride and Ocean Drive),
so this is a new colour combo for me, so it qualifies for the Mix & Match Challenge.
I actually made a similar card at the same time, but
with a fall colour scheme:
I changed up the sentiment (SSS's Blessed)
and this card will go to my church's visitation committee.
I liked the "comfort" idea with the quilt.
Next, Sage made a card using Betsy's pattern:
She used some PTI watercolour striped paper as her background:
She diecut the Wet Paint die from melon berry cardstock.
She stamped the butterflies from the Masterpiece stamp set and cut them out by hand.
She also added some twine for the Threads Challenge.
And lastly, I used Melissa's pattern:
I love this pattern and had to use my new Twig Wreath stamp set:
I stamped the border along the side using Brushed Off.
The sentiment is from Choose Joy.
Again, I used some new Wplus9 inks (Gala Red & Hayride)
so this is a new colour combo for me, so it qualifies for the Mix & Match Challenge.
I also added some buttons and twine, so it's for the Threads Challenge, too.
I loved this pattern so much, I duplicated my card, but changed up the sentiment
using one from Bloomers.
Thanks for looking!
