1. Well, it's the first full week of school and everyone seems to be doing well.
While I miss the relaxed feeling of summer, I do enjoy getting back
into a schedule in the fall.
2. Tomorrow is Sage's birthday.
We've been getting ready for her party this week.... prepping the food
(cupcakes, butter crunch and cookies --- mmmm!)
3. I also made up little treat bags for the girls to take home --
each one contains a couple of pieces of butter crunch.
I diecut them using Reverse Confetti's new Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts.
I stamped the butterflies (from the PTI Masterpiece MIM Kit) in summer sunrise,
hawaiian shores and berry sorbet,
spritzing them with water before stamping to give a watercolour effect.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
I scored the top of the tags and folded them over and stapled them in place.
4. So, Austin is gone for the weekend....
He auditioned to be a part of the CMYC (Central Manitoba Youth Choir) in spring
and made it, so he's attending their first retreat where he'll learn the songs they'll perform
when they tour next month.
I'm praying he has a great time and makes some new friends!
5. And lastly, I have one more card to enter in the
To make my card, I started by colouring with my Zig Clean Colour Waterbrush Markers
on some watercolour paper and then pulling the colour with a water brush.
I diecut these using the Soda Pop dies and lined them up along the bottom of
my card base.
I stamped the "you are soda-lightful" onto white cardstock,
and cut it apart before adhering it with dimensional adhesive.
I stamped the "happy birthday" (also from Soda Pop) in versamark
on true black cardstock and heat embossed it in white.
It, too, is adhered using dimensional adhesive.
I'm also linking this card up to this week's
Thanks for looking!
