The Card Concept #41 & The Challenge #45

It's Thanksgiving weekend for us Canucks
and today, I'm hosting my mother-in-law, my nieces,
my nephew & my great-niece for supper.

So, I've got a lot to do, but I'm just popping in to share the card that I made for two challenges.

Isn't it fabulous?
I just love it!

I immediately thought of my Reverse Confetti Pumpkin Patch stamp set
and how I'd thought of heat embossing it in white, but hadn't yet.
Well, here was my chance...

Then, I came across The Challenge #45: A Sketch:

.... and it all came together....
Here's my card:

I started with a stamper's select white cardbase and layered some
American Crafts patterned paper over top.
I diecut the largest scallop from Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts
and used a post-it note to mask off the top part of the scalloped circle
so I could apply some soft stone ink to the bottom half.

I diecut the pumpkin and stem from the same patterned paper using Pumpkin Patch Confetti Cuts
and  heat embossed the Pumpkin Patch stamp in white.
Some Natural Twine and a button finish it off.

My card is Clean & Layered.

Thanks for looking!

  21. Yes, that photo is ever so pretty, but it's your card, with the lovely elements, that captures my heart! From the woodgrain background to the white embossed pumpkin...sighhhh. I'm not sure why, but it reminds me of my grandparents' farm and the weathered wood on the buildings we so loved...
