Make It Monday #236: 2015 A La Carte

On Monday, Austin tested for his driver's license -- and got it!
I guess it's true: the third time is the charm. ;)
He was being all sneaky when he got back from his test --
he had his shoulders slumped and a sad look on his face
and I thought: "Oh no, I'm going to have to be supportive about this..."
But then when I got to the room where he was going over his test
with his evaluator, he looked at me and said: "So, I passed."
I was so relieved! LOL!

Here he is in the car as we (he) drove away from the test.

I wanted to make him a card to let him know how proud I am of him.
along with my new Be Mine, Valentine stamp set:

I smooshed my background using orange zest and hawaiian shores ink.
When it was dry, I stamped the little fan, as well as the "from: your biggest fan" from
Be Mine Valentine.

The "congratulations" is from SSS's Congratulations stamp set.

Thanks for looking!

  7. Congrats! My son just got his licence after a second try. There was a roadworks sign in his route the first time and he didn't slow down in time due to poor signage! Love your card!

  26. A big day and a fabulous card to celebrate!! I wasn't thrilled when my older son got his license but it's absolutely a blessing (just like you pointed out in a later post). That son is an old soul and very, very law-abiding. My younger son has his learner's now and and I'm scared to death. He's my irresponsible, unfocused, slightly wild child - not looking forward to his driving at all!
