Today, I have a card to share for the
Isn't that photo gorgeous?
I decided to use my Altenew Beautiful stamp set to make my card.
I started by stamping the peony in black, stormy seas and soft stone.
Then, I masked it and stamped the jar in royal blue,
and then again in veramark, where I heat embossed it in clear.
I masked the peony and the jar and stamped the leaves.
I coloured in the jar with my Zig Markers and a paint brush dipped in water.
I added some grey with a paint brush around the base of the jar to ground it.
I stamped the sentiment (from Reverse Confetti's Lots to Say)
in versamark and heat embossed it in white.
Thanks for looking!
This is gorgeous Leigh. I love hose flowers and the blue base is so lovely.

Hi, Just found your blog via Pinterest and having a good browse.
ReplyDeleteThis card is stunning, as are all your other cards. I love your use of colour.
The photo is interesting, and from the island I currently call home. The blue door is very typical on older houses in Cyprus, along with red tiled roofs.
Off for another browse.

WOW! Your card is a stunning translation of the photo; so impressed with your Zig-painting mastery! The jar is lovely; the flowers, ever so eye-catching! You and those big blooms are a perfect pair!

Absolutely beautiful, Leigh.
ReplyDeleteAnother stand out ... it's hard to make a sympathy card with the right amount of restraint. This is just perfect. Love the color on the jar and not the flower.
