Ink it Up is a challenge where, on the second and fourth Wednesday
of each month, Heidi and I share cards that we've made with new stamp sets
that we haven't used yet.
Today, I'm sharing three cards that I made using my
For my first card, I used the garden gate die.
I blended ink onto my background and layered the garden gate diecut overtop.
I stamped the gate finials at the top with versafine onyx black ink
and stamped the wisteria onto its coordinating diecut using four shades of ink
(green parakeet, new leaf, hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz).
I diecut the sign using the die from the kit and one of the pre-printed sheets.
Here, I used a Tim Holtz woodgrain stencil to add grey ink to a piece of soft stone
cardstock before diecutting it with the lattice die from the kit.
I adhered this to a piece of cardstock, onto which I blended ink.
I diecut the two pre-printed bleeding hearts and the sign,
using the papers that came with the kit.
For my last card, I wanted to use one of the stencils that came in the kit.
I used my Clarity stencil brushes and green parakeet and new leaf inks.
I blended more new leaf ink onto a piece of white cardstock and diecut
it using one of my PTI Keep It Simple dies.
I diecut it again from white cardstock and stamped the sentiment
from PTI's KIS: Birthday stamp set.
I diecut the wisteria from one of the pre-printed sheets.
A trio of buttons finishes it off.
