MFT Wednesday Sketch 296 & ColourQ 357

Sometimes, I will decide that I want to make a card and go down to my craft area.
And sometimes, I will remember that there are a few challenges with which I
wanted to play along, but I will have forgotten to:
1. print out the challenges
2. bring down my phone with me.

So, sometimes, I'll be too lazy to go back upstairs and confirm what the challenges were.
So, sometimes, I go from memory.
And I'll be very proud of myself and make my card,
but then realize when I come to write my blog post
that I didn't quite remember the challenges exactly as they were.

This is one of those times. ;)

I wanted to play along with this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch:

And decided that I wanted to use my MFT Flashy Florals stamp set
and needed to choose which colours I wanted.
I remembered that ColourQ had a a fun colour combo this week...

I also decided that I wanted to use my new Concord & 9th Barnwood Background stamp,
so I started off by stamping it in Altenew Evening Grey on some PTI Soft Stone cardstock.

Not sure where I got grey from the challenge,
but here's my card:

I stamped the smaller flower centre first onto the diecut in PTI Orange Zest
and stamped again in versamark and heat embossed in clear.
Then, I stamped my bloom in Raspberry Fizz.
I stamped the leaves in Altenew Morning Frost and Evening Grey.

I stamped the "happy" sentiment (from MFT Hand-Lettered Holiday)
directly onto my background and heat embossed the "birthday" (from MFT Soda Pop)
in white on a strip of black cardstock.

Thanks for looking!
