Today, I'm participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.
Our challenge was to use this beautiful photo as inspiration:
While the DT at Papertrey Ink were showcasing Christmas products this month,
I really couldn't get in the mood to make a holiday card just yet...
I started by stamping my sentiment from Phrases and Praises in
versafine onyx black ink on stamper's select white cardstock.
I made a border for my card with true black cardstock.
I wet some watercolour paper and coloured over it with two Zig Markers
and then went over the colouring with water.
Once it was dry, I splattered ink mixed with water over top.
Once that was dry, I diecut some Fancy Foliage Detail dies from it.
Some classic kraft button twine finishes it off.

Love the CAS design. Leaves are lovely and with the rustic twine adds to rich texture of the card. Well done!

ReplyDeleteSomehow I didn't end up getting the Phrases and Praises set. Big mistake - your card is absolutely lovely and so meaningful! I love the simple foliage with the twine bow surrounded that sentiment.
