Inspired By All The Little Things #54

Today, I have a card to share for
Inspired By All the Little Things #54:

I've been taking over for posting for Lesley who just had her baby
-- so excited for her!
I fell in love with this cool shelf when I spotted it on Pinterest and thought
it would make a very fun inspiration photo for

Here's my card:

I started with some stamper's select white and aqua mist cardstock.
I diecut my rectangular stitched die (from PTI's Shakers & Sprinkles kit) from white cardstock
twice, as well as the PTI Fancy Foliage dies.
On the inner rectangle that got diecut when I diecut the frame,
I blended Altenew Mango Smoothie ink.

I stamped the waterman from Papertrey Ink's Inspired: Hope.

Five for Friday

I realize it's been quite a while since I posted a Five for Friday
on my blog.....
Life has been busy, especially with working full time, as you might have noticed
by the fact that I'm no longer blogging every day (it actually made me quite sad when I realized that I wasn't going to be able to keep up with posting daily!)

So, I thought I'd catch you up with what's going on in my life lately...

1. My job is awesome!
I'm loving designing kitchens/living spaces for Two30Nine.
I have had four kitchens installed that I have designed.
I'm looking forward to photographing them once they are all complete and
sharing them with you.
For now, here's a glimpse...

This is part of a new kitchen that I designed in our showroom.
Isn't it lovely?

2. Last weekend, Jonah & Austin went to Calgary with their school choir
and Jonah's band.
My friend, Tania (the boys' vice-principal) went along, too.
They had a very good time!

Sage and I had to go to Winnipeg to apply for a passport for her,
so we stayed the night at my mom's and had a bit of a girls' weekend:
we met my mom for supper and went to see Going In Style together at the theatre
(very good movie!) and then did some shopping on Saturday.

We went for lunch at Saucers on Academy Road.

3. I've been enjoying watching the kids perform...
Sage and Jonah both played piano pieces in the Morden Festival of the Arts
and Sage performed three poems.

And then, on Tuesday evening, she sang two songs for the Vocal session.
She was asked to perform at the Festival Highlights concert again this year --
she will be singing Be Thou My Vision on Sunday afternoon.

And, this past Wednesday, she performed at her piano recital
and we played a duet together.

4. This week, Austin and Jonah have been performing in their school play:
The Great All American Musical Disaster.
Austin played Bronco Winnie and Jonah played Bob Everlove.
They both did an amazing job!

So fun that they got to do this together!

5. It's Administrative Assistant Week and my co-workers asked me to make
a card for our admin assistant, Lisa.
Since Lisa is also a photographer, I decided to use my Altenew stamp set

Here's my card:

I stamped the camera in Altenew Sapphire ink and versamark and then heat
embossed it in clear.
Then I stamped the sentiment (using my Mama Elephant alphabet stamps)
and the same inks/technique.

I used my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and a water brush
to colour them in and matted everything on a piece of RC Aqua Cardstock.

Have a great weekend!

Papertrey Ink April Blog Hop

I have a card to share for today's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

Our challenge was to use this beautiful photo as inspiration:

Isn't it pretty?
I was inspired by the colours and chose to use my new Floral Bouquet stamp set.
Here's my card:

I diecut my Floral Bouquet twice and stamped it using Altenew Evening Grey,
Morning Frost, Blush, Frosted Pink, Buttercream and Orange Cream.
I adhered them to my card using dimensional adhesive and then trimmed off
the pieces that were hanging over the edge of the card.
I adhered some of these pieces back onto my card.
I stamped my sentiment using Inspired: Hope.

Make It Monday #281

Happy Monday!

So, I got to spend some time in my craft area yesterday afternoon & made some cards.
One of them was for this week's
And while I photographed it yesterday, I forgot to post it on my blog
until this morning -- and the collection had closed. :(
But I'm sharing it anyway...

I diecut my window using my Keep It Simple scalloped die, which I used the frame
but diecutting it a second time from a coaster and inking it with Altenew Caribbean Blue ink
and layering them together.
I created my pattern using my Woodblocks stencil and the same shade of ink.
I stamped the sentiment from my Right At Home stamp set.

I stamped the PTI Spring Berries in Altenew inks
and adhered them to my card using dimensional adhesive.

Today, I have a card to share for
Inspired By All the Little Things #53:

I looked at this pretty image and saw butterflies!

After diecutting my panel from Stamper's Select White cardstock,
I blended there different shades on Altenew ink onto it:
Morning Frost, Peach Perfect and Cotton Candy.

I stamped my sentiment (from PTI Choose Joy) in Altenew Evening Grey ink.
Some Pretty Pink Posh sequins finish it off.

CAS(E) This Sketch #218

Today, I have a card to share that I made for

It's parent-teacher conferences at the high school tonight.
Austin & Jonah left on a bus for their choir trip this morning to Calgary,
so I will be attending the conferences on my own this evening -- a first for me!
I still wanted to bring along some treats for the teachers,
so I made some butter crunch and some tags to go with them.
Here's my tag, using the sketch:

I started by diecutting my tag from Cloud White Cardstock using the
largest tag from Tag Me Confetti Cuts.
I stamped the lines using Lime Green InkIced Aqua Ink & RC Aqua Ink.

I diecut the banner using Bitty Banners Confetti Cuts and stamped
it with the "thanks" stamp from Bitty Banners.

Inspired By All The Little Things #52

*Note: this is my third post for today.
Please scroll down to see my other posts
and some exciting news!

Today, I have a card to share for
Inspired By All the Little Things #52:

When I saw this image, I knew immediately that I would
use my MFT stamp set to create my card:

I started by stamping the girl from my MFT set onto my watercolour
paper background and heat embossing it in clear.
Then, I did some masking and stamped the buildings from PTI's City Scene
stamp set, in Altenew Evening Grey and Morning Frost.
However, I forgot to put my mask back after it got stuck to my stamp,
using my MISTI and accidentally stamped the building onto my girl's face.
(Please, someone tell me that I'm not the only one to mess up masking like that!)

Not wanting to start over, I decided to restamp the girl and diecut her out.
I coloured her in with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers and a water brush.
I adhered her to my card using dimensional adhesive.
I stamped my sentiment using my new stamp set from Right At Home --
I just love this sentiment and thought it suited this confident girl perfectly!
