Happy Birthday, Austin!

Today, is my oldest son's birthday!
Austin is now officially an adult!
I really can't believe it -- it totally seems like yesterday that we
were bringing him home from the hospital....
These years flew by!

But I'm proud to say that we made it to adulthood (mission accomplished!)
and that I love the fine man that he is becoming!

This is his grad photo -- he'll be graduating next month.
And, he's decided what he'll be doing in the fall --
we're going for a campus visit on Friday to Steinbach Bible College
where he will be in their worship program.

So, of course, I had to make him a card to commemorate this big occasion...

I decided to use my Mama Elephant Three Amigos set -- I picked the raccoon
because we saw the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie last week for his birthday
-- "trash panda" -- LOL!
I found some October Afternoon patterned paper and did a combination of paper-piecing
and watercolour  with my Zig Markers.

I stamped the sentiment from PTI's Songbirds.

Thanks for looking!

  2. Happy birthday to Austin! From all you've shared, you have every reason to be proud of the man he is becoming! Love that he's heading for the worship program ... how close is Steinbach to you? Your birthday card is great - I've 3 grandsons, and I don't always know what to come up with for them :)

  5. Cute card, and congratulations to your son and your family!! I also have a senior who will be turning 18 in a couple of weeks. It does go fast, but also exciting to see how they have turned out, and excited to see what the future holds for them.

  6. Happy birthday and congratulations to Austin. The thing about making our own cards is we can personalize them and you did a fantastic job with this one, Leigh.
