Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! We ended up driving down to Grand Forks for the day on Saturday with friends -- lots of fun and I found a few great deals, too! :)
I wanted to share a Valentine's treat container and matching card that I made this afternoon, for this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: the Diecut Double Up. This is being sent off to a crafty friend in the USA for a secret Valentine's Day exchange..... I hope she likes it!
For the tin, I used an old Lindor Valentine's tin that I have held onto for years because I just couldn't throw out. I covered the Lindor emblem with some PTI diecuts, using my Limitless layers: ovals 2.25" dies. I cut one scalloped shape from some Crate Paper Fourteen patterned paper and then two plain ovals from PTI stamper's select white and pure poppy cardstock . Then, from the white oval, I diecut a PTI Heart Prints heart. I assembled them together and stamped the "for you" using Fillable Frames #9.
And on the inside.... I filled it with some fun little crafty treats. I'm also going to add some Hershey's Kisses before I sent it off.
And for the card, I did the same diecut double-up, but this time using Limitless Layers: Hearts and a Heart Prints die. I put it together on some rustic white cardstock, stamped a sentiment from a Think Big Favourites set and layered that on the same patterned paper that I used for the scalloped oval on the tin. I layered that all on some pure poppy cardstock and added a pure poppy button in the middle.
Thanks for looking!
What a cute gift Leigh!! Beautiful card as well, love that striped patterned paper :)
