Valentines treats from Sage

Yesterday, the kids had the day off from school. I suggested to Sage that we should make the Valentine treats for her class, using this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: Pillow Box Stamping & Assembly. Since we don't have any PTI pillow box or favour-it box dies, we decided to use our PTI Lunchbox Note dies to make them.

We started off by diecutting 26 of the lunchbox notes, using white cardstock from Staples. Sage was thinking we should have bought the Tremendous Treats: Valentines, but I suggested that we use some images from Tremendous Treats: Birthdays so that's what we did. Sage stamped the animals and coloured them in. I printed up some "punny" sentiments for them on the computer and cut them out.

Three of these birdies are going to Sage's teachers:

And here are the other ones for her classmates:

We used a "to/from" sentiment from Fillable Frames #9 on the front, along with hearts from Heart Prints.

They're all wrapped up (with a chocolate heart inside of each one!) and ready for Sage to take to school. Ahh, what a great feeling getting this big job done ahead of time!

Thanks for looking!

  1. These are awesome! I've used the lunchbox die in the past and was planning on using them again. I just haven't decided exactly what to do yet. Using Heart Prints to cover them is a fantastic idea. TFS!

  5. Looks like lots of fun for Sage (and her Mom!!) I really like how you stamped the inside with the sentiment and images ... it's such a cute surprise!! I also love the various colours used for stamping Heart Prints, but my favourite is the red and black one (for Daniel) ... reminds me of Mickey Mouse!! So sweet!!

  7. Such delights! The lunchbox die is a perfect choice, better than the pillow box IMHO. Sage has been lucky to have been passed your ever so crafty genes. Love that! Love the treats. Keep well. x
