Today, I'm very honoured to be playing along with the Swan Song Blog Hop
If you're playing along with the hop, you should have arrived here from Waltzingmouse Stamps.
Before Paper Crafts, I'd been a fan of the Creating Keepsakes magazine &
was thrilled to be published in their magazine 4 times, starting in June 2006.
I became a huge fan of the Paper Crafts Magazine when I started
making cards almost four years ago and have been so excited to have had
over 25 of my cards featured in their publications.
I have been inspired and learned so much from this magazine and will miss it.
I actually had two cards picked up for their April 2015, before
they announced that the February 2015 would be their last issue.
I'm sharing one of those cards here today for the hop.
(I shared the other card yesterday, so, if you'd like, you can click here to see it.)
It was created using the April 2015 sketch.
I stamped the background using PTI's Circle Scribbles stamp set.
Then, I stamped the sentiment (from Reverse Confetti's In A Big Way) and the
Fabulous Flamingo legs.
With a Tim Holtz blending tool, I inked some white cardstock
using PTI's hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz inks and then diecut it
using the Fabulous Flamingo Confetti Cuts.
I stamped the beak (using Delicata Golden Glitz ink -- same as the legs)
and adhered it to my card.
I used the same ink to add some gold to my Pretty Pink Posh wooden stars
and swiped the ink along the edges of some white cardstock to mat my card.
Your next stop on the hop is Jenn Shurkus.
If you'd like to check out the hop from the beginning,
you can see the whole list on Taheerah Atchia's blog.
