Ink It Up with Heidi Shafer -- Neat and Tangled's Purrrfect

Today, I've joined again with Heidi Shafer of Mapleberry Musings
for Ink It Up.

Ink it Up is a challenge where, on the second and fourth Wednesday
of each month, Heidi and I share cards that we've made with new stamp sets
that we haven't used yet.

Today, I'm sharing my card that I made using my
Neat and Tangled's Purrrfect stamp set.
While this set has actually seen ink before -- by Sage and a few of my
Sunday School girls -- I hadn't used it yet, so I decided to use it
to make a birthday card for my son, Jonah.

He loves watching iFunny and shared this hilarious video
with me recently, so I thought he might get a kick out of this card.
They called it "From G to PG-13."

LOL!
Here's my card:

I started by diecutting my cats from watercolour paper and colouring
them in using my Zig markers and a water brush.
I cut my white panel at an angle and layered it over
a second piece of white cardstock that I inked with my
blending tool, three shades of ink & my MFT stencil.

I stamped the sentiment (from PTI's Winter Woods)
in versafine onyx black.

When I was making this card, I originally stamped a piece of aqua mist
cardstock with a MFT background stamp and thought I'd use
that along the bottom of my card.
It didn't seem vibrant enough for Jonah, but I decided to
not waste it and made a second card right away with it.

These kitties are just so cute!
I actually diecut and stamped four of them right away so I could make
a bunch of cards at once....

This sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's Big Scripty Sentiments.

Don't forget to hop over to Heidi's blog to see what
she created for this Ink It Up.

Thanks for looking!

  4. I have to laugh after seeing that video, how perfectly your card captures those two brothers... LOL! Jonah is going to get such a kick out of this! Love your soft coloring, and love the stenciled panel. And great idea to make multiple cards at once with the leftovers. They both look awesome!
