Countdown to Confetti: Butterfly Dreams & Whole Lotta Happy

Welcome, 'Fetti Fans to Day 2 of the March Release for Reverse Confetti

This month is an amazing release,
with four new stamps sets & six new Confetti Cuts!

The set we're introducing today is fabulous and beautiful and quite possibly
my favourite Reverse Confetti set to date!
There are so many possibilities with this set!
It's called Butterfly Dreams and comes with coordinating Confetti Cuts.
We're also featuring a wonderful new sentiment set called Whole Lotta Happy.

My first card uses a new technique with Butterfly Dreams...

I started by colouring the background of a piece of watercolour paper with my Zig markers.
When it was dry, I stamped my butterflies in versa mark and heat embossed them in clear.
Then, I added water to my panel with a paintbrush and lifted the colour off using a dry baby wipe.

I thought it would be fun to stamp the butterflies so they would be two-toned, but
I might make another version and make sure each butterfly has its own colour.
So many possibilities!

My next card using the leftovers from my first attempt at this technique.

I had coloured part of the watercolour panel with two shades of blue Zig markers,
but when I'd gone to heat emboss the stamp and lift the colour, the heat
embossing wasn't great, so a lot of the background colour was showing through.
I loved how the colours on the panel had turned out though,
so I stamped a piece of vintage cream cardstock with the large butterfly stamp
in a soft grey colour and coloured in the words with my Zig.
Then, using my MISTI, I stamped the butterfly again, in versa mark
and heat embossed it in white.
I used the Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts to diecut my butterfly
and adhered it to my card.

For my next card, I was inspired by the Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge #5
to pair the new Butterfly Dreams stamps set with the previously released Caffeinated Cups
and the new Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts.

Isn't it beautiful?
Here's the card it inspired:

I started with a piece of ombre Crate Paper patterned paper that I ran through
my diecutting machine with the largest pinked circle from Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts.
Then, I stamped my cups onto the background as well as onto two other pieces of
coordinating Crate Paper patterned paper -- don't they look like pretty tea cups?
I diecut the butterfly from Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts & stamped it with its coordinating stamp.

I diecut the banner (also from Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts)
and stamped on it using the "happy" from the previously released With Love stamp set
and Whole Lotta Happy, which is part of this month's release.

And for my last card for today, I used the Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts to
created a stencil on a piece of acetate.

I used my blending tool to blend ink onto my panel in Hawaiian Shores
and then inked my homemade butterfly stencils in summer sunrise, cotton candy and berry sorbet.
I stamped the Butterfly Dreams stamps onto their coordinating diecuts
and adhered them to my card.

I stamped the sentiment (from Whole Lotta Happy) in versamark and
heat embossed it in white.

I'm also linking this up to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #6,
because I used so many new supplies.

That's it for today!
