CAS(E) This Sketch #93

Today, I have a card to share that I made for

This card was pretty quick to make!
I used some Webster's Pages patterned paper & a Crate Paper chipboard embellishment.
I stamped my sentiment (from PTI's Wet Paint) on the strip of patterned paper.
A sprinkling of tiny Pretty Pink Posh gold sequins finishes it off.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see the rest of the DT's takes on the sketch
and to play along, if you'd like.
You have until Thursday, September 25th to link up your card.

Reverse Confetti September Colour Challenge

Well, it's the 16th of the month, which means that
there is a new Colour Challenge up on the Reverse Confetti blog today!

Here's the card I made with it:

I started with some Heidi Swapp patterned paper which I trimmed
to different widths and then die cut the ends with the largest tag from Tag Me.
I also did the same with a piece of white card stock.
On this, I stamped a sentiment from Fresh 'n Fruity and added a die cut lemon
I added a little pink button with some twine and two rows of stitching along the top to finish it off.

Be sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog to see what
the other designers created using this colour combo!

Pages With Papertrey Sketch #37

Today, I am sharing a layout that I made using the following sketch:

Now, I'm posting this sketch for Pages With Papertrey,
but I have to admit..... the only Papertrey Ink products on my page are cardstock.
I debated on not posting the sketch, but I don't have any other layouts with a sketch
that I could share and a crazy week ahead filled with prepping for Sage's birthday party,
so I figured it was better than nothing. ;)

I used some Crate Paper The Pier patterned paper and chipboard to
scrapbook these super fun photos of Sage and Jonah's best friend, Josh, on one of
the rides at our local Corn & Apple Festival last summer.

For my title, I used my Mama Elephant alphabet dies and some kraft card stock.

The "today was" stamp is Elle's Studio and I used my date stamp to fill it in.

So if you make a layout using the sketch, please link it up here
in the comments on my blog or here on the PTI forum --
I love to see what you made!

Make It Monday #179

*Note: I have some stamps & dies listed for sale here
if you'd like to check them out.  :)

Well, since I had such a great time leading Sage's Sunday School group last year,
I signed up to do it again this year.

As much as I would have loved to keep my same group, because they were awesome,
the powers that be decided to change things up & I have a new group.
Three of the kids are from my group last year (including Sage!),
but I have seven new kids.

I wanted to start off the year on a good note, so I made them all "happy hello" cards
to tell them how excited I am that they're in my group, how I'm looking forward
to getting to know them & hanging out with them on Sunday mornings
and how I think this year is going to be great. :)

I decided to use the adorable ferris wheel stamp from Betsy's MIM County Fair kit
and paired it with a Wet Paint hello and the "a happy" stamp from WW: Hello.
I used the Journaling Card 1 die to die cut my panels.

I was going to use patterned paper for my backgrounds,
but changed my mind when I saw Laura's MIM this week for Papertrey Ink:
Emboss Resist Using Diecuts and decided that this would create
great backgrounds for my cards!

I used my Centre Stage cover plate for this technique.
I did half of the cards with the whole cover plate and half with just the top two thirds.
I inked them up using five colours.

In enchanted evening:

In hawaiian shores:

In summer sunrise:

In berry sorbet:

And in raspberry fizz:

Before you go, I just want to share the card that I made for Tag You're It Challenge #6
where we're being inspired by this beautiful tag by TYIC Designer Karin Ã…kesdotter:

I was inspired by how Karin had the butterfly and leaves extended over the edges of her tag
and decided to create a card using this technique.

I used one of my Pretty Pink Posh tag dies, which I die cut from vintage cream card stock.
I layered it over some Crate Paper patterned paper and stamped my sentiment
from Papertrey Ink's Wet Paint.
Then, I added some Crate Paper chipboard elements, as well as some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Visit the Tag You're It Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's takes
on the challenge and to play along, if you'd like.
You have until Wednesday, September 24th to link up your project.

Hello

Today, I have a card to share that I made using some Reverse Confetti stamps
and Confetti Cuts and some My Mind's Eye patterned paper that I'd gotten a while ago
that I recently found in my stash.

I die cut the frames using the Give Thanks Label Confetti Cuts and
stamped my sentiment from In a Big Way.
I fussy cut the flowers from the patterned paper, tucked them under the frame
and added a decorative brad.

A Back to School Treat for Sage

Today, I have a back to school gift to share....

We were at Walmart last month and Sage wanted to pick out her back to school supplies.
She was quite disappointed to learn that she didn't need school supplies this year,
as her school had changed its policy: they were now requesting money
& her teacher would purchase the supplies for the class.

I decided to cheer her up by making her a little back to school gift.
So, after a trip to the dollar store to pick up a note book &
a search through our pencil/pens container,
where I found four recycled-from-tires pencils that we got for free at the fair last year,
I took these...

and, with some gorgeous & fun Chickaniddy Scrumptious patterned papers, I made these:

Supplies: Scrumptious 12x12 patterned paper (SC14OS02, SC14OS03, SC14OS05), clear stamps (Alphabet)

The Home Sweet Home patterned paper has a border of flowers along the bottom of it,
so when I cut out my panel to fit the cover of my journal,
I left the border intact and adhered it along the side of the journal.
It was a great way to add a second pattern without adding another layer!

I used Modge Podge and adhesive to adhere the panel to the journal and
then I coated the cover in another layer of Modge Podge to give it extra durability.

Using a tab die & my diecutting machine, I added some patterned paper tabs to the journal.

For the pencils, I cut 1" strips of patterned paper and used Modge Podge once again
to adhere them to the pencils.
I just love these patterns -- they make such fun pencils!

Once everything was dry, I tied it all together with some cotton twine and added a couple of tags layered together. The "for you" was stamped in versa mark using the Scrumptious alphabet stamps and heat embossed in white.

Sage was super excited to get this surprise gift from me -- it totally made her day!

Reverse Confetti New Release Blog Hop

Well hello, Reverse Confetti fans!
Today is release day and we are kicking it off with our new release blog hop.

Soon that crisp fall air, candy corn, and the smell of pumpkin spice will be upon us.
We couldn’t wait that long, so we’ve got some exciting new products with a fall flair
to get you in the autumnal spirit a little early, along with another great everyday sentiment set
and several versatile Confetti Cuts dies that we know you’ll “fall” head over heels for!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog
and you should have made it here from Kathy Martin's blog
It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing.
We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets & dies!

For my blog hop project, I used the
Cast a Spell stamp set & their coordinating Confetti Cuts,
as well as the So Many Stars stamp set.

I pressed some Summer Sunrise ink onto my craft mat, spritzed it with water
and used a paintbrush to watercolour a square on my cardstock.
I then used the same ink to drop some splatter onto my card.
I stamped the stars from So Many Stars & the sentiment from Cast a Spell.
I stamped the witch from the Cast a Spell stamp set on its coordinating Confetti Cut.
A few Pretty Pink Posh wooden stars (inked in Summer Sunrise) finish it off.

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today!
Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of every month for more Reverse Confetti inspiration!

Now it’s time to hop on over to Amy Sheffer's blog
