May Pinterest Inspired Challenge

Today, I have a card to share for the May Pinterest Inspired Challenge:

Isn't it fun?
I was inspired by the splattering of fun colours to make my card.

I started by stamping the sentiments from PTI's Phrases & Praises in versafine onyx black.

Then, I stamped the birds from PTI's Wee One in Altenew's Frosty Pink,
Coral Berry, Warm Sunshine, Caribbean Sky & PTI's Green Parakeet.

I'm also linking this up to this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Please check out the Pinterest Inspired Challenge to what the rest of the DT created
using this photo as their inspiration and to play along, if you'd like.

April Pinterest Inspired Challenge

Today, I have a card to share for the April Pinterest Inspired Challenge:

Isn't it pretty?
I love those fun colours!

I decided to stamp the flowers and leaves from Altenew's Painted Flowers
stamp set in versa mark and heat emboss them in white.
Then, I did the same thing with my sentiment (from PTI's Spring Woods).

With some water, a paint brush and my Zig markers, I added colour to my flowers
and background, creating a watercolour effect.

March Pinterest Inspired Challenge

Today, I have a card to share for the March Pinterest Inspired Challenge:

Isn't it cool?
I love those fun feathers!

I started by creating some feather stencils by diecutting the two largest feathers
from PTI's Feather Finery set.
I used some post-it notes to mask the area where I would ink in pink,
and inked the rest of the feathers using aqua mist and Hawaiian shores.
Then, I switched around the post-it notes to blend my berry sorbet ink.
I stamped the feathers, using some masking, in versamark and heat embossed them in white.

I stamped my sentiment (also from PTI's Feather Finery) in Versamark
onto some black cardstock and heat embossed it in white.

Please check out the Pinterest Inspired Challenge to what the rest of the DT created
using this photo as their inspiration and to play along, if you'd like.
You have until the end of March to link up your project.

I decided to use my Hero Arts Background stamp & my Zigs to make my card.

I stamped my background stamp in Versamark onto some
watercolour paper and heat embossed it in white.
I coloured in the middle of each square and then,
with a paintbrush and water, blended the colour outward.

I stamped my sentiment (from PTI's KIS: Birthday) in Versamark onto some navy cardstock
and heat embossed it in white.

the gold outlines of the flowers.

Sharing a little kindness

Happy World Kindness Day!

I've been really enjoying the Share Handmade Kindness Challenges
on Jennifer McGuire's blog this month and decided to play along with

I partnered with Sage and we decided to make some cookies and a card
for the staff at our town library.
She made the cookies & I made the card.

I decided to go with a "book theme", so I cut out five strips of cardstock
and stamped along the bottom and top of each one with one of the road stamps
from PTI's City Scene and heat embossed them in gold.

For the spines of the books, I stamped them with words found in PTI's
Phrase Play 1 & 2 stamp set --- they are words to describe what we appreciate
about the library and the people that work there.

I stamped the sentiment (from SSS's Big Scripty Sentiments) in versamark
and heat embossed it in gold on the card base, after running it through
my diecutting machine with the PTI Book Print impression plate.

For my colours, I was inspired by this month's Pinterest Inspired Challenge:

And I'm also liking this up to Virginia's View Challenge #20: All About Textures.

October Pinterest Inspired Challenge -- Take Two

Today I have another card to share that I made for the

I just loved it so much, I had to make another card using it!
(Click here to see my first card.)

Here's my card:

I diecut some leaves from vellum using my Songbirds die
and adhered them to my card background.
Then, I spritzed some watercolour paper with water and coloured over top
of the wetness with my Blue Zig Clean Colour Brush Marker.
Once it was dry, I diecut it with the Songbirds die
and adhered them over top of the vellum leaves.

I stamped my sentiment (from Wplus9's Grateful Greetings stamp set)
onto a strip of true black cardstock & heat embossed it in white.
I adhered the strip with some dimensional adhesive.
Some rainstones finish it off.

Isn't it gorgeous?
I just love it!

Here's my card:

I started by colouring on my leaf stamp from PTI's Songbirds

I then repeated this process with a Cornflower Blue and Blue marker.

onto a strip of smokey shadow cardstock & heat embossed it in white.

Pinterest Inspired Challenge

Today, I have a card to share that I made for a new blog challenge --
where their first challenge is this:

I love these colours and fun flowers
and was inspired to make this card
using my favourite Altenew stamp set -- Painted Flowers.

I stamped the flowers and leaves in versafine onyx black ink.
Then, using my Zig Clear Colour Brush Markers, I coloured in the centre
of each flower and used a water brush to blend the colour to fill in the flowers.
Then, I did the same thing with grey for the leaves.

I stamped the sentiment (from PTI's KIS: Birthday)
in versa mark onto true black cardstock and heat embossed it in white.
I made a swirl of white thread and adhered the sentiment over top
with dimensional adhesive.
