Happy Birthday, Heidi!

Happy Halloween!

Today is also Heidi Sonboul's birthday!
Heidi is the owner of Chickaniddy Crafts and I'm so thrilled
to get to design for her using her fabulous products!

In honour of her birthday, the Chickaniddy Crafts Design Team
are all surprising her with birthday cards -- such a fun idea!

Here's my card, using the fabulous Scrumptious collection:

IMGP1294-001

I still remember Heidi coming up with the name of this collection
and sharing it with the DT and we all loved it!
So I thought it would be fun to wish her a "scrumptious" birthday. ;)

I used some Scrumptious patterned paper as my background (New Harvest)
& matted it with Friends and Family.
I added the fabulous illustrated sticker as my sentiment and
then die cut a banner from Check Please and heat embossed my sentiment
from the Chickaniddy Crafts Twirly Girly stamps.
I fussy cut the flowers from the Fall Bouquet patterned paper.

Please go & check out the other birthday cards that the DT made
 on the Chickaniddy Crafts blog.

CAS(E) This Sketch #98

Today, I have a card to share that I made for

I decided to stretch the sketch to a vertical card rather than a horizontal one.
I used some PTI simply chartreuse card stock as my background.
I stamped my vintage cream panel with Altenew's Painted Flower stamp set (sweet blush,
raspberry fizz, limeade ice, simply chartreuse and then cut it into two pieces.
The banner was cut from raspberry fizz and hibiscus burst card stock using PTI's double-ended banner die and heat embossed in sea foam white with PTI's KIS: birthday stamp set.
A few Pretty Pink Posh sequins finish it off.

Visit CAS(E) this Sketch to see the rest of the DT's takes on the sketch
and to play along, if you'd like.
You have until Thursday, November 6th to link up your card.

Reverse Confetti Treat Tag

Are you getting excited for Halloween?
I am! I'm looking forward to wearing my Tardis costume both to go trick or treating with my kids
on Friday night and the next day to the Central Canada Comic Con. :)

In preparation for Halloween, I have a fun tag to share today that I made using the

Instead of making a little bag with the die, I trimmed off the edges and
used the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts to make it into a tag.
I used Chickaniddy Crafts Scrumptious patterned paper for the denim tag and the die cut word.
I stamped the sentiment (from Label Me) in versa mark and heat embossed it in white.

A bunch of thank you tags

This week, we have Austin's parent-teacher conferences and I want
to bring some treats for the teachers to say thank you for all of their hard work.

would be perfect to make my tags.
I started with some kraft cardstock, which I die-cut with PTI's Tag Sale 5.
For each card, I die-cut the "thanks" using a Wet Paint Cuts die.

For my first two tags, I used some smaller stamps from Iconic Images.
Then, for the next two, I used the birds from that same set.

I also stamped the bird on the kraft tag & layered the word over top.
For these next two, I used the sweet little leaf from the County Fair MIM.

And lastly, using the same technique as I did on the birds, I stamped the leaves  from Songbirds.

I'm also linking these up to this week's

Little Baby -- Big Love

Note: This is my second post for today.
Please scroll down to see the Reverse Confetti Halloween card I made.

I have another card to share today..... it's a baby card...

I started off by stamping my sentiment (from Reverse Confetti's Lots to Say stamp set
onto my vintage cream card base.
I created a stencil using PTI's Mighty Oak cover plate and used it to
apply some embossing paste, being careful not to cover my sentiment.
I diecut & stamped the birds (from PTI's Feather Finery) and perched them in the tree.

A Wickedly Wonderful Halloween

I can't believe that it's almost Halloween!
Today, I have a card to share that I made
using some Reverse Confetti goodies.

I layered some fine linen card stock over some striped Chickaniddy Crafts patterned paper.
I created my banner by diecutting the end of the strip of white card stock
with the end of the large tag from Tag Me.
I stamped the pumpkin (from Forever Fall) and then masked it before
stamping the broom from Cast A Spell.
The sentiment is also from Cast A Spell.
A few wooden stars from Pretty Pink Posh finishes it off.

And before I go, I just wanted to share this:

The November Reverse Confetti Release will begin
with peeks on November 5th.

Inspired by Pinterest

Today, I have a fun fall card that I was inspired to make when I saw this photo on Pinterest:

I loved this image with the leaves being cut from the multi-coloured dough -- so fun!

I immediately thought of the Scrumptious Autumn Haze patterned paper and
how it has the cool large variegated stripes in four different colours:

I pulled a sheet of it from the Scrumptious 6x6 paper pad and die cut it with a leaf die.

IMGP1284-001

I adhered those leaves to some white card stock to make my card:

IMGP1298

I matted the white card stock onto another piece of the mini Autumn Haze paper
that I trimmed down to 4.25x5.5", making sure that I lined the leaves up with the matted edge.
I trimmed the sentiment out from another piece of paper from the 6x6 pad
and trimmed off the edge with a banner die.
I added some buttons, twine and a Scrumptious mini-brad.

To add a little dimension & interest, I curled the ends of the leaves a little with my fingers before adhering them to my card.

Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop

It's the 25th, which means that there are two months left until Christmas.
Have you started your shopping yet?

It also means that today is the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. :)

This month, we were given six colour combos to inspire us to make holiday cards.
And I used each one.

Here are the six cards that I made, using the colour combos...

For my first card, I used a combination of Betsy Veldman's dies --
both the Shaker Shapes: Square dies for my frame & the Tinsel & Tag Kit dies
to create my little scene.
The banner is also from Tinsel & Tags, as well as the fun snow I added.

For this card, I used some polka dot patterned paper (sorry, I don't know the brand!)
and paired it with PTI's Bells & Boughs stamp set and dies.
I used the rock & roll technique for inking up my poinsettias.
I die cut my border from New Leaf card stock using PTI's Heart border die.
The sentiment was stamped with Wet Paint Holidays.

For the third colour combo, I used some Heidi Swapp patterned paper as my background.
Again, I used stamps & dies from the Tinsel & Tags kit, which I layered onto a Mat Stack 4 diecut.

Here, I used the Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe and paired it with PTI's City Scene.
I had fun masking and stamping my little winter scene!
I added some glitter to my snow globe.
For my sentiment, I die cut the "merry" using my Wet Paint Holidays Cuts.
The "Christmas"  is from the Sparkle & Shine Holiday stamp set.
The stripe along the bottom is from the County Fair MIM.

Here, I used the Shaker Shapes: Ornament dies.
I die cut my "sparkle" die cut from some silver shimmer card stock.
The sentiments are from the Sparkle & Shine Holidays stamp set.
I used some Lawn Fawn twine at the top.

Here's a close up of the shimmery "Sparkle":

And lastly....

Here, I used the new Tinsel & Tags stamp set and dies.
The banner is popped up with some dimensional adhesive.

Tag You're It Challenge #9

*Note: this is my second post for today.
If you're here for the Pretty Pink Posh/Winnie & Walter blog hop, please scroll down. Thanks!

Today, I have a card to share that I made for Tag You're It Challenge #9
where we're being inspired by these tags that I made earlier this year:

Since I'd made the original tags as treat bag tags for my kids' teachers,
I decided to stick with that idea, but this time used some Reverse Confetti stamps & dies.

I used some some Chickaniddy Crafts patterned paper, which I die cut using Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts.
I die cut the "treats" (from Treat Totes Confetti Cuts) from aqua mist card stock.
The "just for you" is a sentiment from Sweet Thing.

Visit the Tag You're It Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's takes
on the challenge and to play along, if you'd like.
You have until Wednesday, November 5th to link up your project.
