#1. This weekend is our town's annual Corn & Apple Festival. Which for us, means a weekend of rides, lots of walking to check out all the booths, food and fun! It's so great, too, because we live 1.5 blocks away from the festival, which means we can come home and take a break when we need to and then head back when we're ready for more!
#2. For me, it's also the hunt for great photos! The photo at the opening of this post is one of my very favourites that I've taken at the C&A (in 2007). And here's my second favourite, taken in 2006:
(Okay, how adorable are Jonah and Sage! Did I appreciate how cute they were back then? I'm sure I did!)
#3. Now, while I don't subscribe to the scrapbooking craziness of being "caught up" with my photos, I do like to stay current within the last year. I realized past weekend that I still hadn't scrapped my Corn & Apple photos from 2010, so I got them done this week (I ♥ summer vacation!)
Here's the first one, documenting Austin as a ride fiend:
I used Studio Calico patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, Scenic Route letter stickers and Papertrey Ink Seeing Stars dies.
#4. This next layout features some favourite photos that I took of Sage.
Sometimes I find her clothes challenging to scrapbook (purple and brown?), but I managed to find some SU! patterned paper in my stash and I think I made it work okay. I used sketch 125 at Got Sketch? and my new punch that I got for my birthday from my friend, Susan.
I also used some American Crafts cardstock, October Afternoon letter stickers and Papertrey Ink goodies (Mordern Wood Mats & Gratitude Journal stamps & Love Lives Here die).
#5. And one last layout. I've been wanting to try to make a banner like this for a while. I decided to use my PTI Triangle dies to cut out the bottom of each one for a uniform look.
I used Making Memories, Crate Paper, SU!, SEI and Lily Bee patterned paper & Lily Bee letter stickers.
I apologize if this song gets stuck in your head for the rest of the day! ;)
Thanks for looking!

Great layouts but yeah, totally got the song stuck in my head now. Granted, there could be worse songs to be singing all day... ;)
Your layouts are great! I am continually amazed by how you can manage to have such skill at combining colors that I would never dream of and having them look so good.
More beautiful layouts. Oh..and thanks for the song. Takes me back to my high school days...haha.
What great photos and layouts. Evryone looks like they are having such a great time.
Great layouts as usual. You amaze me with all of the pages you create. It takes me forever to do 1.
I do love the way you stitched the stars in the first layout. Using pattern paper to cut the stars was creative.
Love the colorful banner in your last layout.
Amazing! Love all the color and the use of that SC patterned paper. I think it sat in front of me for about 2 hours before I knew what to do with it... And love the banner, too!
Love your long title work, totally cute and had me singing that tune as well!!! I always love it when you use your own handwriting. I need to do that more myself!!!
e.
Great layouts, they are all gorgeous. I especially like the large Ferris Wheel on the first one.
