Countdown to Confetti: Because of the Brave

Welcome, 'Fetti Fans to Day 3 of the June Release for Reverse Confetti! 

This month is a fantastic release, 

with four new stamps sets & seven new Confetti Cuts!

Today, we're showcasing a wonderful new patriotic set called

Because of the Brave. 

Now, being Canadian, I don't have a lot of call for USA patriotic cards,

but I really love how this set features sentiments that can be sent to

people serving their country overseas to encourage them!

To make my card, I diecut the new Sunburst Cover Panel Confetti Cuts from

one piece of white cardstock and impressed it onto another.

On the impressed piece, I did a little masking with post it notes

and applied some Altenew Crimson and Sapphire inks using my blending tool.

I stamped the sentiment (from Because of the Brave) in Sapphire

and them impressed two of the stars from Seeing Stars Confetti Cuts,

to add a little extra detail.

For my next card I decided to make a Father's Day Card using the latest

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge -- Sail On:

I was inspired by the colours to create a Father's Day card.

I started by smooshing some tropical teal ink onto my white cardstock panel

and adding in some ink with a paint brush.

Then, I added a little more ink and spritzed my card.

I diecut three of the new Seeing Stars Confetti Cuts from white cardstock

and stamped the sentiment from Because of the Brave onto the largest star.

Because it didn't quite tit, I also stamped it onto my background.

I stamped the sentiment from Tie-rific in versamark on a strip of navy cardstock

and heat embossed it in white.

I added a strip of Pink Paislee patterned paper along the said of my card

and finished it off with some wooden stars.

Countdown to Confetti: My Heart Trusts

Welcome, 'Fetti Fans to Day 2 of the June Release for Reverse Confetti! 

I

This month is a fantastic release, 

with four new stamps sets & seven new Confetti Cuts!

Today, we're showcasing a beautiful new faith-based set called My Heart Trusts. 

I just love the mix of fonts in this set, as well as the wonderful sentiments!

For my first card, I paired My Heart Trusts with a new die that's

being released this month called Sand Dollar Confetti Cuts.

I started by applying some PTI Fine Linen ink to my white cardstock panel

applying it a bit heavier behind where I would adhere my Sand Dollar Confetti Cuts.

I diecut the Sand Dollar Confetti Cuts from vintage cream cardstock

and blended a little bit of the fine linen ink around the edges.

I used the new Scalloped Cover Panel Confetti Cuts to impress

into a piece of Hawaiian Shores cardstock along the edge of my card. 

To stamp my My Heart Trusts sentiment, I inked the top part of it in

Hawaiian Shores and the bottom in Tropical Teal to give an ombre effect.

On my next card, I paired My Heart Trusts with the new

Scalloped Cover Panel Confetti Cuts.

This time I impressed the Scalloped Cover Panel Confetti Cuts onto a piece of

white cardstock and used inks pressed onto an acrylic block, water & a paint brush

to colour them ink (PTI aqua mist, Hawaiian shores, tropical teal and

Delicata Golden Glitz).

I flicked some of the Golden Glitz and Tropical Teal ink onto the background.

I diecut the Scalloped Cover Panel Confetti Cut from another piece of

white cardstock and layered it over top.

I stamped my sentiment in aqua mist and then sponged some tropical teal

ink onto my sentiment and stamped again, using my MISTI.

I wanted to get a picture so you could see the shimmer from the gold.

It's super pretty in real life!

Countdown to Confetti: Mermaid Kisses & Seaside

Welcome, 'Fetti Fans to Day 1 of the June Release for Reverse Confetti! 

This month is a fantastic release, 

with four new stamps sets & seven new Confetti Cuts!

Today, we're showcasing two adorable new sets 

that both come with coordinating Confetti Cuts: 

Mermaid Kisses and Seaside.

I started by smooshing some tropical teal ink onto my white panel.

I diecut my Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cuts and stamped in the

images using versafine onyx black ink.

I coloured them in using ink pressed onto my acrylic block,

water and a paintbrush.

I embossed my lilac panel using the new Scalloped Cover Panel

Confetti Cuts and applied a little bit of lavender fields

ink with my blending tool.

One of the things that I love about the sets designed by

Dawn Machell is that the sentiments are all in the same font,

so you can easily mix and match from different sets.

Here, I paired the "happy birthday" from Monkey Business

with the fun "fin-tastic" sentiment from Mermaid Kisses.

To finish off my card, I added some rainstones, including

a trio to the flower on the mermaid's head.

For my next card, I was inspired by the current Fusion Card Challenge:

Something Blue photo and sketch to make my card:

I used the new Seaside stamp set & coordinating Seaside Confetti Cuts

to make my card, as well as the new Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cuts. 

I started by diecutting my Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cut from white cardsock.

I also impressed it onto a piece of watercolour paper and fussy cut it out by hand.

On the watercolour tag, I coloured it in using four Zig markers,

some water and a paintbrush.

Then, I layered the white Scalloped Tag Layer over top.

I layered it over some white cardstock that I trimmed and adhered

to my Bazzill Basics Robin's Egg cardstock.

I stamped the anchor from Seaside onto its coordinating diecut.

I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of vellum in versafine

onyx black and heat embossed it in clear.

Lastly, I have a card to share that was inspired by

 this wooden sign that I found on Pinterest.

I thought it was so fun!

Here's the card it inspired:

 

On a piece of fine linen cardstock, I stamped images from Seaside

and Mermaid Kisses in versamark and then heat embossed them in clear.

Then, I blended Altenew Dusk ink over top with my blending tool.

To make it have more of a "weathered wooden sign look",

I applied some cream acrylic paint to it, using a dry brush technique.

I split the panel with my trimmer and stamped the sentiment onto

another piece of fine linen cardstock, using the "Ahoy!"

from Seaside & "new baby" from the previously released Whole Lotta Happy.

Inspired By All The Little Things #18

Today, I have a card to share for 

Inspired By All the Little Things #18:

Isn't this pretty?

Here's my card:

I started by stamping my Altenew Daisies & Vintage Flowers on a piece of white cardstock

and fussy cutting them out by hand.

For the pink, I used PTI's Hibiscus Burst & Raspberry Fizz, & Wplus9 Sweet Gelato.

For the yellow, I used Altenew Buttercream, Mango Smoothie and Warm Sunshine,

and PTI's orange zest (on the little flowers).

The leaves were stamped using PTI's Limeade Ice, Green Parakeet & New Leaf.

 I cut a panel of PTI Enchanted Evening and cut off the bottom at an angle.

I adhered this to my white background panel, on which I stamped the KIS: Praying for You

sentiment in Enchanted Evening ink.

Then, I adhered all of the flowers.

The Card Concept #56 {Sweet Tea}

Today, I have a Clean & Layered card to share for

The Card Concept #56 {Sweet Tea}:

I fell in love with this photo and the idea of adding a flower to a tea cup.

I decided to use my Reverse Confetti goodies to make my card.

I stamped the cup from Caffeinated Cups and then did some masking

to stamp the top of the take out cup as my saucer.

A little more masking and I was able to add one of the flowers from Rose Garden.

I coloured in my cup and saucer with my Zigs and some water and a paintbrush.

I added details to my rose using my Zigs as well.

I was inspired by the gold frame with the writing in it in the background

of the photo, so I created a frame for my teacup by diecutting my

watercolour paper with the largest scalloped circle from

Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts, masking out the circle in the middle

and applying Delicata Golden Glitz ink with my blending tool.

I stamped the sentiment (from Rose Garden) with the Golden Glitz

ink but I stamped off once before stamping each time, so

the effect would be more subtle.

I stamped it once in Wplus9 Ocean Drive, to match the outline of the cup.

A button and twine finishes it off.

CAS(E) This Sketch #175

Today, I have a card to share that I made for

 CAS(E) This Sketch #175 designed by Hannelie Bester:

When I saw this fun sketch, I immediately thought of using my PTI City Scene stamps

to make my card.

 

I started by blending some orange zest ink onto my background panel.

I stamped my City Scene stamps in four different shades of Altenew grey inks

onto their coordinating diecuts.

For my sentiment, I diecut two of the Colour Pop Florals dies from white cardstock.

I blended orange zest ink onto one of them, stacked them together and adhered it to my card.

I decided to use one of my favourite stamps from PTI's Phrases & Praises to make my card.

I started by using my PTI Scene It: Skyscapes sunburst die as a stencil

and blending PTI harvest gold and summer sunrise ink onto my panel. 

I stamped my sentiment in Altenew Ocean Waves.

I added a strip of Pink Paislee patterned paper down the side.

Some buttons and twine finish it off.
