Inspired By All the Little Things #70

Today, I have a card to share for
Inspired By All the Little Things #70:

I love the cozy texture of the leaves with the scarf and cup of hot chocolate!
I focused on the scarf and remembered how the bear from
Neat and Tangled's Beary Merry set wears a scarf....

I stamped the bear onto it's coordinating diecut that I cut from watercolour paper
in versamark and heat embossed it in clear.
I coloured it in with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers and a water brush,
blurring the edges of the stripes I coloured, so they'd have more of a blended look.
I stamped the mug (also from Beary Merry, masking out the Santa face
and coloured the background to match the bear's tummy.

I stamped the sentiment (using Simon Says Stamp's Many Thanks stamp set)
in Altenew Jet Black.
I added a leaf (using the same technique as the bear & Essentials By Ellen's Thankful stamp & die)
to fill in the gap -- I love the extra fall feel this little detail brings!
I diecut my frame using PTI's Shaker Shape: Rectangle die
and tied some button twine around it, before adhering the bear over top with
some dimensional adhesive.

October Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

I have a card to share for today's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

This month's challenge was to use these pieces of art work as inspiration:

Aren't they wonderful?
I was particularly inspired by the piece on the far right, in the second row.
Here's my card:

I decided to use the leaf stamps from Floral Sketches to create the stamped pattern on my panel,
using a combination of Wplus9, PTI and Altenew inks.

I stamped my sentiment (from PTI Tropics) onto a strip of vellum in versamark,
which I heat embossed in black.

Inspired By All the Little Things #69

Today, I have a card to share for
Inspired By All the Little Things #69:

I was inspired by the pretty quilt to make my card:

I used my Pretty Pink Posh Stitched dies to create my quilt for the background.
I stamped my pumpkin and leaf from Essentials By Ellen onto their coordinating diecuts
and coloured them in with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and a water brush.

I stamped my sentiment (from Wplus9's Gratitude) in Altenew Evening Grey ink.
Some PTI rustic cream button twine finishes it off.

CAS(E) This Sketch #244

Today, I have a card to share that I made for
CAS(E) This Sketch #244 designed by Chrissy Larson:

Here's my card:

I stamped the sentiment and leaves from Neat and Tangled's Grateful stamp set
onto a piece of white cardstock in PTI Simply Chartreuse and Tropical Teal inks
and trimmed it into a diamond shape with my trimmer.
(Note: this trimming was a lot harder than I thought it would be and I found
myself wishing I had a diamond shaped die!)

I blended the same shades of ink onto another piece of cardstock,
sprinkled some water over top and trimmed it out as well.
I layered everything on a piece of PTI kraft cardstock.

and heat embossing him in clear.
I coloured him in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and a water brush.
Then, I ran him partially through my diecutting machine with his coordinating die,
to trim off the one side.
I using my little trimmer to trim the straight edges.
I stencilled my Papertrey Ink Woodblocks stencil onto a piece of dark grey cardstock

Inspired By All the Little Things #68

Today, I have a card to share for
Inspired By All the Little Things #68:

I just love this gorgeous bouquet and how it's cascading downward like that.
I decided to use my new Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set and
Essentials by Ellen Thankful stamp set to make my card:

I stamped the Beautiful Day stamp in Altenew Sand Dunes and Versamark onto my
watercolour paper background and heat embossed it in clear.
I stamped the the Thankful stamps with the same technique and then diecut
them using their coordinating dies.
I coloured them in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and a water brush.

For my side panel, I smooshed Altenew Dusk mixed with water
onto a strip of watercolour paper.
I stamped my sentiment (from Thankful) in the same colour.

I'm also linking this up to this month's Mix It Up Challenge with Essentials by Ellen,
where we were challenged to pair Essentials by Ellen with Altenew.

MFT Stamps: World Cardmaking Day Challenges

I didn't participate in World Card Making Day yesterday,
because we were in Winnipeg, celebrating Thanksgiving with my mom.
So, I decided to play along with the World Card Making Day
challenges at MFT Stamps this afternoon.

I made five cards for the four challenges. :)

First of all, I created this card for Challenge #1: ROYGBIV,
where we needed to incorporate the colours of the rainbow:

I made a one-layer card using MFT's Beautiful Butterflies.
I stamped my sentiment using Handwritten Holiday and a stamp from PTI.

Next, I created two cards for Challenge #2: Die-Namics Designs,
where we couldn't use stamps, only dies.

I smooshed some aqua and green inks onto watercolour paper and diecut them
using the leaves from Flashy Florals.
I flicked white paint mixed with water onto my kraft cardstock background
and added the thanks (from the Flashy Florals kit), diecut from white cardstock.

I had a few leaves left over, so I made a second card:

On this one, I added a little twine to finish it off.

Next, I created two cards for Challenge #3: By the Numbers,
where we were encouraged to incorporate numbers into our card.
Since I don't own any number stamps or dies from MFT stamps,
I decided to stamp some stacks of 39 books on the front of my card.

I did some masking to create my stacks using the books from Our Story.
I diecut the watercolour panel, after colouring it in with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers,
with my Mama Elephant Femme Frames diecut.
The sentiment was heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.

And lastly, I have a card for Challenge #4: Make & Mail,
which I made for my sister-in-law, which I will mail on Tuesday.

For this card, I used MFT's Fall Florals and this week's
