Frightfully Delightful

Welcome to Day 2 of the peeks for the September release for

Today, we're featuring a stamp set called Frightfully Delightful.
That's right. You guessed it.... it's a Halloween stamp set. :)

I decided to make a tag for a treat bag using it...

I diecut the tag from some patterned paper and stamped my sentiment onto it.
I also stamped the potion image and paper-pieced it.
A little button finishes it off.

Here's a photo of how I attached it to the treat bag.

Say Anything

Welcome to Day 1 of the peeks for the September release for

Today, we're featuring a stamp set called Say Anything
It's a sentiment set that has some creative sentiments in it,
as well as a great background stamp.

Here's the card I made with it...

I stamped the background stamp onto kraft cardstock using Versamark
and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I stamped one of the sentiments onto my mat die cut and added a wooden apple and some twine.

Sage's Jungle Party

As I said when I shared her birthday invitations, Sage chose the theme of her birthday party when she got some wooden African skewers given to her at a garage sale this summer.
Because the thought of so many colours/patterns made my head spin,
we decided to go with a black, white and pink colour palette.

I set up the food/drinks on the piano.

Here are some close ups.

I had to use my new drink dispenser that I got this summer-- isn't it fabulous?
We had a choice of beverages...

And here are the cookies we made
(thanks to my friend, Elena who inspired me to make the cookies and then
endured many, many questions about icing them!)

Here's how we used the skewers...

And, for the cake, I decided to try to make an elephant. It turned out pretty cute, don't you think?

A photo of Sage and her guests....

And one more, posing with the journals we decorated for our craft...

Eight cards

Our church secretary asked if I'd make cards for the local nursing home's birthdays this month, since our church is in charge of the birthday party this month.

I decided to use my new Echo Park patterned papers, as well as my Delightful Dahlia Additions stamp set and dies.

I diecut some Fine Linen cardstock and some of the Echo Park papers with my Edger's #3 die for this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink.

They're all really similar, and yet unique in their own way.

They sell this patterned paper pad. :)

A little wild

It was Sage's birthday on Thursday.... I can't believe she's nine already!

I asked her what kind of a card she wanted for her birthday, and she said: "Whatever you want."
So helpful. ;)

Because she is having a jungle-themed party today,
I decided to take one of her favourite stamps and make it a little wild.

I paper-pieced the fox using this fabulous Crate Paper patterned paper.
The sentiment is from It's a Jungle Out There.
I used the heart border die to die cut the cardstock and floral patterned paper for this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink.

A tag for Sage

For Sage's birthday, I wrapped her gift in this fabulous wrapping paper I found
and made a tag.

I used my Tag Sale #5 die, along with my Chevron border die, that I cut from some MME patterned
paper and layered onto the tag for this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink.

The stamped sentiment is from Fillable Frames #9.
I diecut the Wonderful Word die from the same patterned paper.

You make every day special

Welcome to my Friday post, where I share a project that I've designed

Today's card was made with three stamp sets:
the little bicycle from Breath of Fresh Flair
the skyline from  On Trend 2013
and a sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

I started by stamping the skyline in Versamark and heat embossing it with black embossing powder.
Then I diecut some clouds from some post-it notes to make masks
for when I added some blue ink to my card using my blending tool.
I added some strips of patterned paper and stamped my bicycle.
Then I cut a banner from my mat, stamped my sentiment and adhered it to my card,
after wrapping it with twine.
Some stitching finishes it off.

I'm also linking this up to this week's Simon Says Stamp Challenge: to use a product from their store.
