My friend, Susan, came over to make cards with me yesterday afternoon and brought her Happy Hydrangea stamp set along. She let me borrow it, so I used it to make this card, using this week's this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: bordered sentiments.
I used Papertrey Ink cardstock (rustic white), inks (plum pudding, simply chartreuse and winter wisteria), stamps (TBF #12, Happy Hydrangea, Distressed Stripes) and Echo Park Patterned paper.
To stamp the lighter shades of Winter Wisteria and Simply Chartreuse, I stamped once on the cardstock (or some scratch paper) and then a second time on the card.
Thanks for looking!

Leigh, beautiful job! Just striking with the color choices. Can't wait to use the hydrangea set.
Really gorgeous, Leigh! I love the colors, the striped ip, the hydrangeas...it's all so very pretty!
Leigh, this is so gorgeous. There are so many neat details, but I really like is the way you used the Distressed Stripes on the border of the sentiment and the stitching around the card and sentiment panel. I didn't get the striped IP, but it's on my wishlist now!! It really adds an interesting texture to the card front.
so beautiful! I love the stitching and the way you divided the spaces with the stripes... great job!
What a fun stamping session you must have had. Love your take on the challenge, especially the die cut flower on top.
Pretty, pretty! Just can't go wrong with purple hydrangeas. Love the stitching.
Very pretty card! Love the colour choices and the placement of the flowers. And the simple stripes embossing adds a lot to the card! - Irma
Beautiful card. Love all the elements: the striped iP, the stitching, great flower stamp, colors and layout.
Great color combo, Leigh! Love the hydrangea stamp images and your fab stitching :o)
I've seen quite a few cards this week based on this Make It Monday. I like yours the best of all! Just lovely.
I loved your card on the In Linkz list, and I'm so glad I clicked on the link because there is so much more detail and it is even more beautiful close up. Love it, especially the stiped IP.
Oh my goodness, Leigh, this card is stunning! So much detail with the impression plate, the sewing, and of course, he beautiful stamping. You did such an awesome job with this MIM!
