Countdown to Confetti: Shine Bright & The Buzz

Hey, 'Fetti Fans, welcome to Day 3 of the March Release for Reverse Confetti

This is such a fabulous release, with five new stamp sets and seven new Confetti Cuts!
Lots of sweet goodness coming this month!

Today, we are introducing two new sets with coordinating Confetti Cuts:
a fabulous sentiment set called Shine Bright and a sweet "bee-themed" set called The Buzz.

First up, I'm sharing the cards that I made using The Buzz.

I diecut the white panel using the largest scalloped circle from Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts.
On the aqua mist panel, I adhered a Spring Fling Quick Card Panel that I trimmed down.
I stamped my sentiment from The Buzz.
I stamped the bee from The Buzz on some vellum (which I diecut using the coordinating Confetti Cuts) and heat embossed it in black.
Then, I used a marker and coloured in the back of the bee.

To adhere the bee, I used some dimensional adhesive behind the bee's head and behind his stinger.

For my next card, I decided to combine two techniques: smooshing & paper-piecing.

I stamped the striped on my background using one of the stamps from So Stripey.
I diecut the aqua mist cardstock using the journaling card die from Documented Confetti Cuts.
On it, I stamped my sentiment, beehive and three little bees.
On a piece of white cardstock, I used the smooshing technique to watercolour my paper
with some summer sunrise ink.
When this was dry, I stamped the bees and hive and fussy cut them out by hand
before adhering them to my panel.

I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Next up, I have some cards that I made using the new Shine Bright stamp set and the
Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts.

Here's my first card:

To start, I diecut a window using the journaling card die from Documented Confetti Cuts
from my white cardstock panel.
Then, on another piece of white cardstock, I applied some ink (lemon tart, harvest gold,
summer sunrise, hibiscus burst and aqua mist) with a Tim Holtz blending tool.
I stamped my sentiment (from Shine Bright) in Versafine Onyx Black.
I adhered my inked panel to some aqua mist cardstock and then adhered the white cardstock panel with the window using dimensional adhesive.
I diecut some clouds from the new Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts and adhered those with dimensional adhesive, too.

For my next card, I did some more inking with my Tim Holtz blending tool.

To start, I ran my panel through my Big Shot with my embossing mats to impress the cloud dies
from Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts into my cardstock panel.
I diecut some clouds from sticky notes and placed them over the impressed clouds before
inking the sky with aqua mist.
Using sticky notes as masks, I applied some summer sunrise ink in a start burst pattern.
I added some more diecut clouds and stamped my Shine Bright sentiment in tropical teal ink.
A few MME enamel dots finished it off.

When I was putting the enamel dots on my card, I had chosen three colours: yellow,
aqua and teal.
Sage was watching and suggested I use the silver one. She has such a great eye!

And lastly, I made this card:

Once again, I applied some summer sunrise and Hawaiian shores ink to my background using
my Tim Holtz blending tool.
I stamped my sentiment (from Shine Bright) on my card front using my MISTI.
Then, I flipped my card over and stamped it again.
One at a time, I placed my diecut sun and clouds (from the Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts)
on the card back and stamped again with the MISTI.
Then, I was able to adhere my diecuts to the front of my card.
I used Tombow mono adhesive dots for the sun and then dimensional adhesive for the clouds.
I'm loving how this turned out -- and how quick and easy this was to stamp using my MISTI!

Countdown to Confetti: Folded Tag Sentiments

Hey, 'Fetti Fans, welcome to Day 2 of the March Release for Reverse Confetti

This is such a fabulous release, with five new stamp sets and seven new Confetti Cuts!
Lots of sweet goodness coming this month!

Today, we are introducing a new set of Confetti Cuts called Folded Tag that come with a coordinating stamp set called Folded Tag Sentiments.

I love the font and sentiments used in the Folded Tag Sentiments --
they are perfect for so many occasions!

I decided to use them to make a gift tag for a baby gift, along with a coordinating card.

The Folded Tag is so fabulous -- and so fun when you're using double sided patterned paper!
The idea is that you can write a little note on the inside of the tag,
which the recipient can read when they open it.

For my tag, I diecut some Teresa Collins patterned paper with the Folded Tag Confetti Cuts.
I diecut the rectangle die from some white cardstock and stamped it with the Folded Tag Sentiments stamp in tropical teal.
Super quick and easy -- but with a lovely result!

For my card, I diecut several rectangles from Teresa Collins patterned paper.
Again, I diecut the rectangle die from some white cardstock and stamped it with the Folded Tag Sentiments stamp, but this time I stamped it in fresh mint.
I adhered these to my card on a angle and used another new die being released this month
(Wonky Scallop Border Confetti Cuts) to create two borders along the top and the bottom.
Note: the Wonky Scallop Border Confetti Cuts cuts two different sized borders (so fabulous to have a two in one die!) and for my card, I used the smaller scallops.

I have a card to share that I made using some of the new die and
I made it using CAS(E) This Sketch #113 designed by N@ Ali:

Here's my card:

I love Pretty Pink Posh's new picket fence die -- it's so sweet!
I started by diecutting my white panel using the Stitched Duos 2 die.
Then, I ran it through my diecutting machine a second time with the Picket Fence die.
I inked the sky (using some masks I made with PTI's cloud die) in hawaiian shores
and the grass in simply charteuse.
I stamped some Wplus9 Fresh Cut Florals on their coordinating diecuts and arranged
them in front of the fence.
I finished it off by stamping the sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp's Blessed stamp set)
and added a flag (diecut with another new Pretty Pink Posh die set -- Stitched Labels 1 dies.

So, that's it for me.

Countdown to Confetti: Tweet Life & More than Jellybeans

Hey, 'Fetti Fans, welcome to Day 1 of the March Release for Reverse Confetti

This is such a fabulous release, with five new stamp sets and seven new Confetti Cuts!
Lots of sweet goodness coming this month!

Today, we are introducing two new sets that are perfect for spring:
an adorable new set called The Tweet Life & a wonderfully fun Easter set called More than Jellybeans.
And, they both come with coordinating Confetti Cuts!

First up: the cards I made using The Tweet Life:

Isn't this sweet? It makes me think of a children's book cover.
I layered some white cardstock over my aqua background.
And then I added a Spring Fling Quick Cut Panel, on which I stamped the
two sweet little birds from The Tweet Life.
Then, I paper-pieced them using some cardstock.
I stamped their tummies, using the stamps in coordinating ink.

Next, I used a couple more Spring Fling Quick Cut Panels.

This time, I layered two of the Spring Fling Quick Cut Panels on my card.
Using the coordinating The Tweet Life Confetti Cuts, I added a bird, which I watercoloured
with some gelatos.

And, I paper-pieced the adorable little birdhouse using a piece of the Spring Fling Quick Cut Panel
that was tucked behind the other Spring Fling Quick Cut Panels.

I stamped the little flower (also from The Tweet Life) in the centre and heat embossed it in clear.

And, lastly, I have a third card that I made using the sweet little birdhouse stamp.

I stamped the birdhouse three times in versamark and heat embossed it in white.
Then, using some gelatos, I watercoloured the background and houses.
I stamped my sentiment when it was dry in versafine onyx black ink.

Now, I have a couple of cards to share that I made using the new More Than Jellybeans.

First up, is this card, on which I also used a new Confetti Cuts that's being released this month.
It's a Double Banner Garland and it's amazing!

I used some Easter colours and stamped my sweet bunny in aqua mist.
I created my banners by diecutting them from aqua mist and lemon tart cardstock.

And on my last card that I'm sharing today, I had a lot of fun with the coordinating Confetti
Cuts that go along with More Than Jellybeans.

Once again, I used some aqua and yellow.
I stamped my sentiment/egg from More than Jellybeans by inking it up with lemon tart and aqua mist ink, after diecutting it with the coordinating More Than Jellybeans Confetti Cuts
For the other two eggs, I used the smooching technique with the same inks onto some
white cardstock, let it dry and then diecut them.

Do you like my basket?
I made it by diecutting the Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts tag from kraft cardstock.
Then, I ran it through my diecutting machine with the new Double Banner Garland  along
the bottom to diecut the curved edge.
For the top of the basket, I used the bottom edge of the curved Beautiful Banners Confetti Cuts.
Then, I curved one of the striped stamps from So Stripey and stamped it in classic kraft ink.
I straightened it out to stamp the lines running vertically on the basket.
I was pretty pleased with how it turned out!

Sparkle & Shine Challenge #1

*Note: this is my second post for today.
Please scroll down to see the card I made for Reverse Confetti's SFYTT.

There's a brand new challenge in blogland called Sparkle and Shine Challenge,
which is being sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh.

The founders of the Sparkle and Shine Challenge asked the Pretty Pink Posh DT
to play along with their first challenge.
Here it is:

Isn't it fun?
It totally made me think of Shamrocks and St. Patrick's Day.
So I searched through my PPP dies to find something I could use
to make a "four-leaf clover."
Here's my card:

Can you guess which dies I used to make my window?
It's the oval die from the Stitched Tags Dies!
And for the stem, I used the end of the scalloped border die from Stitched Borders 2 Dies.
I stamped the sentiment on my white card front using PTI's Wonderful Words Additions
and diecut the "lucky" using the coordinating dies.
I filled my shaker with Pretty Pink Posh's Woodland Mix Sequins.

So be sure to check out Sparkle and Shine Challenge
to see what everyone else made for the first challenge,
and to play along as well!

I'm also linking this up to the current Curtain Call Challenge - Lucky:

Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try #22

Today, I have a card to share for Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try #22:

Here's my card...

I diecut the card-stock with the Documented Confetti Cuts and layered it over some Echo Park patterned paper.
On it, I stamped the puppy from Puppy Love and then stamped the glasses from Oliver Owl.
I created the striped banner using the banner from Tag Me Confetti Cuts and then used the
small tag from Tag Me Confetti Cuts to diecut the ends of the patterned paper strip on which I stamped the sentiment from Sugary Sweet Sentiments.

Be sure to head on over to the Reverse Confetti blog to see
the other designers' takes on the sketch and to play along, if you'd like.
