Using Leftovers

I had a few diecut butterflies leftover from Sage's birthday party last month.

They were too pretty to throw away, so I used them to make a couple of cards.

I layered two of them over some aqua mist cardstock and stamped my sentiment

(from Reverse Confetti's Label Me).

I added a few PTI Rainstones to finish it off.

The next card is almost the same, except, after stamping my sentiment, I ran my

panel through my diecutting machine with my Woodgrain IP.

Hello, Pumpkin

Today, I have another Halloween card to share.

When I stopped by at my LSS, I saw this patterned paper from Authentique

and was immediately inspired to use it with the black bird from Reverse Confetti's Cast a Spell.

The front is the music notes/birds and the back is the yellow on yellow stripe.

I started by diecutting my tag using Tag Me.

From true black card stock, I die cut the apple from Class Act Confetti Cuts (which I turned upside-down to make my pumpkin) and the crow from Cast A Spell Confetti Cuts.

I also die cut the end of the broomstick from Cast A Spell Confetti Cuts to make my pumpkin stem.

I stamped my sentiment from Forever Fall.

One more card for this week's MIM....

Well, I'm back from Minneapolis, where I had a great time!
I'm a little tired, because we got in at 2am last night, but that's okay.
The conference, the shopping, the worship, the fellowship -- everything was awesome!

I had some leaves left over from these cards (which Sage loved! Yay!),
so I decided to use them to make a thank you card 

for a friend who sold me some pumpkins for my front steps.

Once again, I used this week's MIM at Papertrey Ink: Gold-Dipped Die-cuts.

I used some American Crafts card stock and die cut the leaves using 

the leaf die from PTI's Pretty Poinsettia die cuts and then dipped in gold 

embossing powder and heated.

I stamped the pumpkins from Scent-imentals on their coordinating die cuts

and heat embossed the stems and leaves in gold.

The one pumpkin was stamped in orange zest and the other was heat embossed in white.

The tag is Tag Sale 7 and the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's In A Big Way.

Some cards for Sage

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm away in Minneapolis this weekend

for the Women of Faith Conference.

Sage wasn't very excited about me leaving her with the boys for the weekend,

so I made her a set of cards so that she could open one each evening.

I also wrote out her blessing in there for each night.

Here are the cards I made her, using this week's MIM at Papertrey Ink: Gold-Dipped Die-cuts. 

For each card, I used a sentiment from Slide Frame (I thought the tiny sentiments looked so cute!)

and leaves cut with the leaf from Nuts For You dies from American Crafts patterned paper

that I dipped in gold embossing powder and heated.

Here I stamped the squirrel from Nuts For You and water coloured him in.

 

Here, I water coloured the fox from Hello, Foxy.

And one last one with the kitty from Cat's Meow.

I love how they are all playing in the patterned paper, gold dipped leaves!

MIM #184: Gold-Dipped Die-cuts

Just a quick post today....

I am travelling to Minneapolis today with a bunch of women from my church 

to attend the Women of Faith Conference and to do a little shopping.

I want to share a card that I made this week for this week's

MIM at Papertrey Ink: Gold-Dipped Die-cuts.

I made it for my friend, Mary. She's the organizer of our yearly trip to Minneapolis

for the WOF conference and I wanted to let her know how much her hard work is appreciated!

I used some American Crafts patterned paper as my background.

I die cut the leaves (also AC) with Leaf Prints and dipped the edges in gold embossing powder.

The sentiment is also heat embossed in gold (Wet Paint) and the die cut is

cut from Rustic Cream card stock.

Pages With Papertrey Sketch #38

Today, I have a sketch and layout to share for this month's Pages With Papertrey Sketch.

I chose this sketch from Page Maps.



So, it's an 8.5x11 sketch, but I modified it to a 12x12 layout by adding some patterned

paper behind my photo.

I also just went with one photo, instead of three.

Here's my layout:

I used some Chickaniddy Crafts Scrumptious patterned paper & stickers.

I used a Wet Paint II Cuts diecut for the "you".

Monthly Moments: July & August

Today, I have two Monthly Moments spreads to share.

First up: July.

Here are some close-ups:

I used the MM: July word diecut from PTI, as well as the "documented" from Wet Paint II.

The little heart and arrow are Studio Calico stamps.

I used a stamp from MM: July and a Wet Paint Cuts diecut.

And August....

Here, I used the MM: August diecut and the stamps and dies from Betsy's County Fair MIM kit.

And on my second page...

I used a Simon Says Stamp that I heat embossed in white on some woodgrain patterned paper,

which I diecut using Reverse Confetti's Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts.

I also used PTI's Get Lost stamp set on this journaling card.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving and in honour of this Canadian holiday,

I have a card to share that I made using some Reverse Confetti goodies.

I started with some navy card stock and Basic Grey patterned paper.

I created my banner by diecutting the end of the strip of rustic white card stock

with the end of the large tag from Tag Me.

I stamped the sentiment (from Forever Fall) in mustard and navy and

then added the swirls (from So Very Special) in canyon clay.

I stamped and die cut the frame using

Give Thanks and the Give Thanks Label Confetti Cuts.

I stamped the little acorns from Forever Fall.

Make It Monday #183: Dry Embossing over Heat Embossing

Hi there!

I'm popping in with a second post for today.... 

I'm going to Minneapolis later this week with a group of women from my church

to the Women of Faith Conference and I was asked to make

some envelopes for the gift cards/certificates we're giving away as prizes on the bus.

I decided to make them all with this week's 

Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: Dry Embossing over Heat Embossing.

I decided to use the same sentiment (from Wet Paint III) and IP (Woodgrain) on each one.

On this one, I heat embossed the coffee cup (from Scent-imentals) and the border 

(from the County Fair MIM kit) with aqua embossing powder. 

On this one, I heat embossed the sentiment and added the "just for you"

and the border (both from the County Fair MIM kit). 

For this one, I used the new PTI pocket journaling card die.

For the next three, I stamped the leaves (from Turning a New Leaf) in different colours,

stamped my sentiment in versafine black and heat embossed it in clear.

And on this one, I heat embossed the sentiment in dark brown embossing powder.

And for these last two, I stamped the ferris wheel from the County Fair MIM kit

and heat embossed the sentiment in white (above) and in butter (below).

Thankful for you

Today, I have a "thankful for you" card to share today using some fabulous 

Chickaniddy Crafts Scrumptious patterned paper, die cuts and stickers...

I started with some Home Sweet Home patterned paper as my background -- I just love this colour! 

I decided to frame my sentiment with this super fun slide frame die cut. 

I die cut the "thankful for" from the back of the Friends and Family patterned paper and 

added the "YOU" using Scrumptious alphabet stickers.  

I mixed a pre-printed die cut with a die cut I made myself from the Friends & Family 

patterned paper and a sticker from the sheet of Scrumptious Illustrated stickers.  

Then, I tied some twine around my leaf stems and added a mini-brad.

So Grateful For You

I liked this week's  CAS(E) This Sketch #96 by N@ Ali
so much that I thought I'd make another card with it.

Here's my card:

I repeatedly stamped the leaf image from PTI's Nuts for You in versa mark,

heat embossed them in clear and water coloured them with PTI ink that I spritzed with water.

The patterned paper is MME and I stamped the sentiment using Wet Paint Alphabet (so grateful)

and Counting My Blessings (for you.)

Today, I have a card to share that I made for Tag You're It Challenge #8

where we're being inspired by this super sweet card by TYIC Designer Lisa Arana:

I was inspired by Lisa's design to make my card.

I stamped my sentiment (from Reverse Confetti's Lots to Say) in aqua mist
onto my sweet blush background.
I created my little tag using the smaller tag from Tag Me &
some Crate Paper patterned paper and added some twine & a Crate Paper chipboard element.
