Five for Friday

1. I can't believe this is the last Friday of the summer!
We've enjoyed such a great summer and I'm not looking forward
to seeing it come to an end....

2. Sage & I had a great time stamping and
crafting with PTI's Stamp-a-faire last weekend!
It was so fun to participate in the challenges and I was quite thrilled to see
that I won a $25GC!
And super fun to see Sage & I featured a couple of times in the wrap-up video, too!

Edited to add: I just woke up this morning to the incredible news
that I won a $100 MFT Stamps GC!
I've been wanting their new Fall Florals stamp set & dies,
but with our CDN dollar right now, they were just too pricey!
So I figured I'd comment on all the DT's blogs
in the hopes if winning a GC & I did! :)

3. I thought it was time to pick the apples off of our tree...
but I think we're a little late.
A lot have fallen already and when Sage, Jonah and I were trying to pick them
off of the tree yesterday morning, a bunch more would fall to the ground.
We got clever and moved the trampoline under the tree --
this way the apples that fell wouldn't get bruised.

I didn't get very many though.
I thought I'd make some pies, but I might just end up making applesauce.

4. Pretty excited about this...

I've had a lot of fun creating with this new release!
You won't want to miss the peeks...

5.  And lastly, I have a card to share
that I made using PTI's Twig Wreath stamp set.

Five for Friday Leigh Penner @leigh148 #cards

I stamped the sentiment (from SSS's Big Scripty Sentiments stamp set)
in enchanted evening and blueberry sky, to give it a slight ombre effect.
I stamped all of the Twig Wreath elements in blueberry sky and spring rain.

Five for Friday Leigh Penner @leigh148 #cards

With my Tim Holtz blending tool, I inked another strip of cardstock in blueberry sky
and then layered my stamped panel over top.

Thanks for looking!

Omgosh, that is awesome that you won the PTI gift certificates and were featured on the wrap-up video! Congrats! LOVE the idea to pull the trampoline under the apple trees. That makes me smile! And gorgeous birthday card! I love the soft blue with the while. Such a different and eye catching color combo for a floral design!

Wouldn't it be great to extend summer into September, to enjoy the first tastes and sights of fall with your kids? Once again, you've shared amazing photos and charming, memory-making moments. Your Stampe-a faire cards were all fantastic (I fell so far behind in commenting what with work and travel x 4 but rest assured they all received gazing and admiring aplenty); seeing you and Sage featured in the video, followed by two GC wins made my heart sing! You are SO deserving! Your apple tree: gorgeous! Using the trampoline: brilliant! Your card: incredibly pretty and the mention of blueberry ink now has me craving a blueberry pie. I can't remember the last time I had one! Perhaps a request to pass on to my mom for our next visit...
