Today, I'm thrilled to be participating in the
I love Pretty Pink Posh and all of their wonderful products,
so I was very excited to be asked to join in with the celebration!
Here's the card that I made for the happy occasion,
inspired by the new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge:
southmoonunder.com
for all the challenge info and deadline and to see what the other
design team members created for the challenge!)
The sweet little owl and cat hats in the photo reminded me of
the cute little animals in Pretty Pink Posh's Holiday Pals stamp set.
I decided to create a faux-shaker card
(because creating real shaker cards tends to overwhelm me -- hee!)
I started by smooshing three colours of watered-down dye ink onto my background.
Once that was dry, I stamped my sentiment (from SSS's Big Scripty Sentiments)
and created my frame using one of Pretty Pink Posh's Scallop Frames dies.
I stamped the three critters from Pretty Pink Posh's Holiday Pals stamp set
onto another piece of white cardstock and coloured them in, using some
Zig Markers coloured onto an acrylic block, with water and a paintbrush.
I fussy cut them out by hand as a group.
Then, I adhered some of the new beautiful Sweet Pea Sequins Mix
onto my background, gathering a bunch behind the critters,
so it looks like they're all piled up behind them -- but they aren't really!
They're just adhered in a long line along the sides and top of the animals!
A few more strategically placed sequins finishes it off.
I'm also linking this up to Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Ombre.

Cute Card!
Great card, Leigh!! I totally thought it was a shaker. Love this, since shakers are so involved. I've ordered a Fuse Tool to see if I like making shakers better that way. Happy Birthday to PPP! Thanks, Paulette S.

Since Google won't connect real email address to my account for commenting, it's sad they won't let people go when they move on, I moved my blog to WP in 2012 and they are still linking my dead uneditable profile with closed email and won't fix it.
gorgeous coloring as usual!
I've never seen a faux shaker card before, but I love this idea. I'm gonna have to try this for sure!!
As everyone else has said this is a very cute card!
However I love how you have used the scallop rectangle die. Partially die cutting a scallop frame but cutting around the stamped images, then, a really clever idea to have the stamped or die cut greeting behind. Thirdly the cherry on the top I love pink shaker cards! Thanks for the gorgeous inspirations and the blog hop Karen x
