Four cards to share

Today, I have two cards to share for the

MFT Colour Challenge 33:

I wanted to make a couple of cards for Sage & Jonah

using my new Cat-itude stamp set.

This one is for Jonah:

And this one is for Sage:

I stamped the cat and sentiment in black and coloured it in

using some dark grey ink pressed onto my acrylic block with some water

and a paintbrush.

I used the same technique to colour the grass.

I coloured the collar using a Zig Clean Colour Brush marker.

And, I also made a card for Austin:

I blended some Altenew Dark Chocolate ink onto some white cardstock 

I diecut it with the Soda Pop dies.

I diecut the banner using a PTI KIS: frame die

and stamped the sentiment from Soda Pop.

And I also have a card to share that I made for this week's Muse Challenge:

I was inspired by the design, with all of the white, a little blue,

the leaves on the panel and the scored white lines.

I used my new PTI Winter Woods stamps with some Crate Paper patterned paper

to make a card for Cameron's aunt.

Make It Monday #231

Today, I have a few projects to share for

this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink: Motif Building.

The first one is a card that I made using my Holiday Folk MIM kit:

I started by stamping the large tree four times in simply chartreuse.

Then, I added the other elements in soft stone, ripe avocado, pure poppy and ocean tides.

I finished by adding a diecut polar bear from the kit and 

the stamped sentiment in ocean tides.

I also used the technique to make some treat bag tags for my Sunday School girls.

For these, I used the Wee Folk stamps and dies.
When I hand them out, I'm going to say: "Because you're such a deer!" ;)

I wrapped up a piece of butter crunch for each one.

Sharing a little kindness

Happy World Kindness Day!

 

I've been really enjoying the Share Handmade Kindness Challenges

on Jennifer McGuire's blog this month and decided to play along with

this week's Share Handmade Kindness Challenge Week 2: Community.

 

I partnered with Sage and we decided to make some cookies and a card

for the staff at our town library.

She made the cookies & I made the card.

 

 

I decided to go with a "book theme", so I cut out five strips of cardstock

and stamped along the bottom and top of each one with one of the road stamps

from PTI's City Scene and heat embossed them in gold.

 

For the spines of the books, I stamped them with words found in PTI's

Phrase Play 1 & 2 stamp set --- they are words to describe what we appreciate

about the library and the people that work there.

 

 

I stamped the sentiment (from SSS's Big Scripty Sentiments) in versamark

and heat embossed it in gold on the card base, after running it through

my diecutting machine with the PTI Book Print impression plate.

 

For my colours, I was inspired by this month's Pinterest Inspired Challenge:

Fusion Challenge -- Purple & Poppies

Today, I have a card to share that I made for the current

Fusion Challenge -- Purple & Poppies:

I was inspired by the photo and the sketch to make my card for a friend at church.

I ran into her at the grocery store last week and it was just so encouraging

to chat with her!

I diecut a large circle from a piece of acetate and used

it as a stencil to ink the yellow circle on my background.

I diecut the PTI Brushed Blooms dies and stamped them with their coordinating stamps,

heat embossing the yellow with some Zing! butter embossing powder.

I diecut my banner using a PTI Keep It Simple frame.

I heat embossed the sentiment from SSS Hand Lettered Winter stamp set

and inked it up with some Altenew ink and my Tim Holtz blending tool.

And since I gave this card to my friend on Sunday morning at church, 

I'm linking it up to Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness Challenge.

CAS(E) This Sketch #147 -- Take Two

Today, I have another card to share that I made for

 CAS(E) This Sketch #147 designed by N@ Ali:

I wanted to make a fall birthday card for my sister-in-law.
She used to compete in triathalons and loves to bike, so I used
my PTI Pedal Pushers stamp set.

I created a mask for the ground with post it notes

and applied my inks using a Tim Holtz blending tool.
I stamped the bicycle and basket and stamped some Wplus9 Fresh Cut Florals
into the basket.

 

I diecut a PTI Double-Ended Banner die and stamped

the sentiment from PTI''s KIS: birthday.

I diecut another piece of patterned paper with the PTI Get a Handle On It die

and stamped the sentiment from Pedal Pusher.

The Card Concept: Autumn Beauty

Today, I have a card to share that I made for 

The Card Concept -- Autumn Beauty:

I love those pale roses in the photo and was inspired to combine

three of my favourite sets: PTI's Twig Wreath & Choose Joy

and Altenew's Vintage Roses.

I stamped the wreath and sentiment on my vintage cream background.

I stamped the roses on their coordinating diecuts.

I added a few mores stamps from Twig Wreath and a couple 

of buttons and twine to finish it off.


And because I plan on popping this card in the mail today to my friend, Carol,
who leaves such wonderful comments on my posts and is such an encouragement to me,
 I'm linking it up to Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness Challenge.
