Pin-Sights, Colour Throwdown and Freshly Made Sketches

It's the long weekend here and I've had some time to spend in my craft area,
which has been really nice!

I've decided that one way I can make the most of my time would be to
make a few cards using the same stamp set, while I have it out.

So, I decided to use my Ellen Hutson Mondo Hydrangea stamp set
to make two cards.

The first one is for the February Pin-Sights Challenge:

Here's my card:

I stamped the image in Altenew Turquoise ink and then a second time, using
my MISTI in versamark, so I could heat emboss it in clear.
I coloured it in using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours.

I adhered it over two strips of cardstock using dimensional adhesive and
stamped my sentiment (from PTI's Songbirds) in Altenew Evening Grey.

And I made my second card using Colour Throwdown #480:

Here's my card:

With some masking, I stamped the leaves in Papertrey Ink New Leaf ink and
then a second time, using my MISTI in versamark, so I could heat emboss it in clear.
I repeated these steps with the flowers, using Altenew Deep Iris.
I coloured everything in using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours.

I stamped my Concord & 9th Barnboard Background on a strip of watercolour paper
in Altenew Evening Grey and stamped my sentiment (from PTI's KIS: Sympathy)
on a strip of grey cardstock and heat embossed it in white.

Today, I have a card to share, as well as the winners from the
Seasons Givings Blog Hop.

I happened to see the latest Colour Throwdown #474 challenge

Isn't it pretty?
I used my Papertrey Ink Winter Woods stamps and dies to make my card.

I diecut my Winter Woods die from white cardstock, stamped it with Altenew Morning Frost ink
and adhered it over a piece of PTI Vintage Cream cardstock.
I stamped the chickadee on its coordinating die in Altenew Morning Frost (twice)
and Jet Black.

I stamped the sentiment (also from Winter Woods) in Jet Black ink as well.

And, the nine winners of my prize packs are:

Colour Throwdown 453 (X2) & Make It Monday #292

I was so inspired when I saw the inspiration photo for Colour Throwdown 453:

that I made two cards!
For the first one, I tried to recreate the photo, using my jar from Lawn Fawn's Summertime Charm
and some fruit sets from Papertrey Ink.

I started by stamping my jar in Altenew Morning Frost and then using a mask
around the jar and applying Altenew Buttercream with my blending tool.
I stamped the raspberries using Papertrey Ink's Summer Berries set and
Altenew Crimson & Velvet and PTI Green Parakeet & New Leaf.
I made a mask for the berries and stamped the lemon slice using PTI's Still Life: Summer.
Then, I made a mask for the lemon slice and stamped it again, as well
as on it's coordinating diecut.

For my sentiment, I diecut my "summer" diecut (from Studio Calico)
and blended Green Parakeet and Buttercream onto it.
I stamped the "blessings" using my Easter Blessings set from PTI.

And for my next card, I used
Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #292: Colour Blocking Three Ways:

I stamped my Brushed Off along the side of my card in Buttercream,
Mango Smoothie and Green Parakeet inks.
I added the fruit, stamped onto their coordinating diecuts.

I stamped the sentiment using SSS's Big Scripty Sentiments.

Papertrey Ink's Celebrating the Past, Present & Future -- 2008

Today, I have a card to share that I made for Papertrey Ink's

I don't own any sets from PTI that were released in 2008,
but I was inspired by this card that Betsy Veldman shared,
using Out On a Limb:

I just love this card from Betsy and decided to make a
card that is very similar, using Spring Woods.

I blended Altenew Sea Glass and Forest Glades inks onto my background.
I stamped the bird and branches from Spring Woods onto their coordinating diecuts
using these two inks, as well as Sand Dunes and Dark Chocolate.

I stamped my sentiment in Dark Chocolate ink, using a sentiment from Songbirds.

I was also inspired by the colours of this week's Colour Throwdown Challenge:

CTD 427 & PTI January Blog Hop

Today, I have two cards to share...

The first one is for The Colour Throwdown,
where I've been guest designing for the past two months!
This is my last challenge as a GD for them and I have enjoyed it so much!
Thanks again, Wanda, for asking me to join you!

Here's this week's CTD:

It seems whenever there's a jam jar in an inspiration photo,
I need to pull out my Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm jar and use it on my card.
Here's what I made:

(By the way, I apologize for the poor photos -- I had the hardest time photographing this card!)
Using some masking, I stamped the images from my Altenew Adore You stamp set
Versamark ink and Altenew inks onto watercolour paper and heat embossing them in clear.
I did the same thing with my Lawn Fawn jar.
I coloured the flowers and leaves in using my Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers and a Water Brush.
I made a mask for the jar and blended ink onto it.
I dropped water drops onto it and soaked them up with a tissue.

I stamped the sentiment (also from Adore You) onto a strip of green cardstock
and heat embossed it in white.
On my side panel, I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background stamp
in aqua on a piece of aqua cardstock.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT created
for this week's Colour Throwdown Challenge.

Next, I have a card to share for today's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

Our challenge was to use this beautiful photo as inspiration:

Isn't it pretty?
I love these cookies!
Here's my card:

I stencilled the bottom of my panel using my PTI Woodblock Print stencil.
I diecut my Mat Stack 5 die from black cardstock and heat embossed my sentiment
(from Spring Woods) onto it.

I diecut the bird and branch from Spring Woods and stamped them in
Altenew Cotton Candy, Ruby Red and Jet Black.

Colour Throwdown 426

I'm very excited to be guest designing
for Colour Throwdown for December and January!

Here's this week's CTD:

I was inspired my the plaid pillows in the photo.
And the deer on the on pillow reminded me that I could use my
new MFT Stamps set Forest Friends.
Here's my card:

I created the plaid panel along the side by stamping
with several different line stamps from my collection
in Altenew Ruby Red, Moon Rock, Morning Frost and Delicate Golden Glitz.

I stamped the deer on my Forest Friends coordinating diecut
in versafine onyx black and heat embossed it in clear before colouring
it in with some Delicata Golden Glitz ink mixed with water.
I stamped the sentiment from Forest Friends in versamark and heat
embossed it on white on a PTI Mat Stack diecut.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT created
for this week's Colour Throwdown Challenge.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday A La Carte & CTD425 -- Take Two

Happy Friday, everyone!
Today, I'm off to the Winnipeg Renovation Show
at the RBC Convention Centre to work in Two30Nine by Decor's booth.
Should be a great day!

Before I go, though, I wanted to share the card that I made for
I decided to create my card using Betsy Veldman's MIM #241: Ombre Stencilled Background.

I also used this week's CTD:

Here's my card:

I blended Hawaiian Shored ink onto my background panel for an ombre effect
and then went over it again using a Woodblock Prints stencil.
I diecut the Brushed Blooms diecut and stamped it in Altenew Mango Smoothie, Warm Sunshine, Jet Black and Morning Frost and PTI Hawaiian Shores.

I stamped my sentiment (from PTI's Tropics) in Altenew Jet Black.

Reverse Confetti Sketch for You To Try #44 & Colour Throwdown 425

I'm very excited to be guest designing
for Colour Throwdown for December and January!

Here's this week's CTD:

I decided to combine the challenge with this month's
Sketch for You to Try at Reverse Confetti:

Here's my card:

I started by masking a strip on my Stone Cardstock and blending ink onto it.
Then, I used my Lotsa Dots Stencil and added more of the same ink.
I diecut one of my Lacy Scallop Frames Confetti Cuts from watercolour paper
and inked the top portion with royal blue ink, and flicked water drops onto it.
I diecut the penguin and hat from watercolour paper using S'more Love Confetti Cuts
and stamped them with their coordinating S'more Love stamps in light grey ink
and coloured them in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and a water brush.
I added a little Coffee and You coffee cup diecut using
the coordinating Coffee and You Confetti Cuts.

I stamped the sentiment from Let's Chill in versamark on a strip
of black cardstock, which I diecut using the same frame.
